The suite of strategies available in Public Fixed Income includes separately managed accounts and commingled vehicles that provide broad coverage of both the risk spectrum (Enhanced Cash to High Yield) and term structure (Short-term to Long Duration). We offer a bottom up, fundamental approach to public fixed income that is supported by a collaborative investment team process. MIM has a deep and experienced team of over 140 Public Fixed Income investment professionals. Investment decisions are informed by a team-based culture with portfolio managers, research analysts, and traders contributing to idea generation. Structured Finance : MIM structured products team manages over $70 billion of public/144a Structured products across Asset Backed Securities ( ABS ) , CMBS, Non - agency mortgages , CLO, and Agency MBS/CMO as of Q1, 2025 . MIM's ABS team manages approximately $ 11B billion of ABS across AAA-BB ratings, across Consumer and Commercial sectors, and with a focus on emerging asset classes . In addition, the ABS team reviews and approves ABS commercial paper programs for investing. The Opportunity : The Managing Director, ABS Team Lead, will be responsible for a 3-person team underwriting and managing our $11 billion portfolio for internal and external clients across a wide spectrum of investment styles spanning liquid and illiquid as well as short through long duration. MIM's ABS Structured Products team underwrite broadly distributed transactions as well as lightly distributed transactions that are public and rule 144a registrations. MIM predominately invested in US backed collateral, but also reviews and invests in Canadian, United Kingdom, European, and Australian jurisdictions. How You'll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities) This role will complete a 3-person team responsible for: • Transaction underwriting of all Asset Backed Securities/Assed Based Funding opportunities • Develop, maintain, and advance relationships with investment banks, capital markets teams to secure investment opportunities across all types of ABS/ABF. • Outreach to issuers active or exploring the securitization market. • Communicate and document credit opinion, transaction details, scenario analysis, as well as opinions of value. • Prepare and present quarterly market and fundamental updates on the ABS space. • Directly engage with ABS trading desk to review investment opportunities, current, pipeline, club deals. • Directly advise and engage with portfolio managers on their ABS portfolio profile, risk profile, transaction opportunities • Represent MIM ABS team to current and potential clients. • Represent MIM ABS across different industry organizations. This role will report to the Head of Structured Products and sit within the Public Structured Product team comprised of 14 team members across all Structured Product verticals including origination and trading in Whippany, NJ. Key relationships across MIM/Structured Products: • Structured Product Team leads, Non-agency MBS, CMBS, CLO, RMBS • Structured Product Trading team • Portfolio managers • Risk Management/Legal/RBC Capital teams. • MetLife Insurance Company management teams • Internal/external clients • MIM Global Corporate Credit Research teams What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications) • 12+ years of securitized underwriting experience with a background on consumer and commercial asset-based securities . (Auto , Student Loan, Lease , Rail, Container, Data Center , Fiber , Whole Business , International , Solar, Venture debt....) • Significant knowledge of securitizations structures. • Comfort in analyzing emerging asset classes and esoteric ABS/ABF • Significant industry relationships across issuers, bankers, capital market participants, and peers • Past role developing team members • Ability to synthetize complex structured investment opportunities for key stakeholders. • Structured product analytical platforms; Intex, Bloomberg, Blackrock Aladdin, others • Knowledge of insurance Risk Based Capital framework. • Past speaking/panel/roundtable experience #MIM The expected salary range for this position is $207,500 to $225,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms. Global Real Estate and Agricultural Investments maintain a portfolio invested in commercial real estate and agricultural mortgages, as well as real estate equities. Agricultural Investments group sources investments through five regional field offices in the U.S. and consulting offices in Mexico and Brazil. This individual will cover a geographic region in North Central California (Primarily, Merced & San Joaquin Counties, CA) with a diverse set of crops and Livestock operations. This individual will originate loans and service an existing loan portfolio of over $376 million. Key Responsibilities: Loan Origination: • Originate agricultural loans and service existing loan portfolio in California. • Ability to manage and attain aggressive business goals. • Strong credit and analytical skills, superior knowledge of lending principles, credit procedures, collateral and credit analysis. • Extensive agricultural lending experience. • Ability to structure large complex financings for sophisticated clients. • Strong agricultural marketing and business development skills. • Advanced knowledge of digital sales techniques and database management. • Working knowledge of agricultural finance concepts.
