The Opportunity Coordinate with new business opportunity sources to populate New Opportunity Details (information tracking document). Review and provide necessary updates on all assigned new contract startups; solicit and disseminate department updates weekly, or as requested. Act as point of contact for Vituity Physician Leadership associated with new contracts. Coordinate with new contract clients to obtain information, as needed. Proactively collect and disseminate department-specific required information. Respond to complex inquiries regarding contract terms, timelines, and incentives, as well as business development terms for contracts. Support Physician Leadership and Operations Division with logistics of on-site startup work. Prepare regular reporting mechanisms regarding contract status, compliance and modifications/amendments to review with management/Vituity Leadership. Assist with administrative procedures as needed to facilitate timely and responsible processing of contract implementation tasks. Streamline startup process via continuous process improvement. Apply critical thinking skills to coordinate with Business Intelligence/ITS (Information Technology Solutions) in development of a robust technical solution to automate information collection/availability during prelaunch and startup phases. Assist with the implementation and management of an automated contract management system, create new contract templates, and assist with research. Assist with other enterprise-wide strategic projects, as needed. Manage the continual update and accuracy of the New Business Opportunity Tracking Log by maintaining contact with new business opportunity owners. Maintain confidentiality of all new business opportunities, as appropriate. Maintain Startup Dashboard (implementation progress document). Required Experience and Competencies Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or in progress for the PMP Certification Exam is required. 1 year of increasingly complex project management experience preferred. Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred. The Opportunity Generate and develop leads through the coordination of advertisements, cold calling, referrals, Internet sources, residency programs, and conventions. Initiate contact and timely follow-up with prospective Anesthesiology physicians and Advanced Provider candidates. Document all actions in database accordingly. Develop comprehensive recruiting plans for specific vacancies. Establish and actively manage an inventory of resources available for patients to assist in transition post-ED/post-inpatient. Ensure best practices are utilized regarding handoffs for all transitions. Monitor site financial performance and identify and create new areas for growth and revenue. Develop an expertise and understanding of the yearly budget, financial performance measures and monitoring systems, and billing and reimbursement issues / systems. Improve patient census and billing practice statistics to optimize reimbursement for the practice. Maintain awareness and interactions with payers such as significant IPAs, Medical Groups, Foundations, and ACOs associated with the hospital / health system. Coordinate efforts with key leaders in central operations. Required Experiences and Competencies Licensed physician as a Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school and completion of residency through an accredited residency program required. Maintain membership and privileges on Hospital’s medical staff and comply with and abide by the bylaws, rules and regulations, and the policies and procedures of Hospital’s medical staff where services are being provided required. Physician Partnership status required. Superior clinical skills to serve as role model by setting high standards preferred. Administrative experience and aptitude preferred. Interest in interpreting complex financial data and with understanding of finance and accounting as they relate to practice management preferred.
