JOB SUMMARY: As a Compliance Analyst (for Due Diligence) at Maxwell, you enjoy digging in to ensure loan files and fees are accurate and compliant with regulatory standards. You understand what is needed to properly investigate and validate apparent regulatory compliance violations. To ensure a smooth transition from Compliance Analysis to Credit Review and beyond, you enjoy cross-functional collaboration with our Data Capture, Credit Review and Transaction Management teams. WHO YOU ARE... • Ability to meet production quality and service standards • High technical aptitude - familiarity with Slack, Zoom, GSuite, Microsoft Office • Strong written and verbal communication skills - analytical ability, good judgement, detail-oriented and organized WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING… • Reviewing loan packages, underwriting guidelines, or data files to identify the documentation necessary for the review • Capture required information from such information, which may include bookmarking the relevant pages where such information can be located, in a designated place • Audit loans to determine salability or conduct final review of loan documentation for accuracy and completeness • Identifying and documenting any discrepancies during audit, document issues in the process • Entering data, fees from LEs, CDs and COCs into system of record and running analysis to test for issues • Ensuring any exceptions are captured and recorded for incorrect or missing documentation, data errors, and any errors on the LE's and CD’s • Researching and responding to rebuttals and responses to findings • Maintaining communication with internal contacts as necessary to ensure expectations and timelines are met; escalating issues, as needed • Running system logic against information captured and handling any exceptions that may come from the application of this logic against the data captured • Applying exceptions and handling validations where necessary to ensure a complete and accurate review • Accurate tracking of the time spent on reviews IDEALLY, YOU’LL HAVE... • 3 years of experience in Quality Control/Due Diligence/Secondary Market as well as preferred fraud investigative reviews, specifically within banking or lending (required) • Knowledge of the principals and compliance regulations and documentation applicable to mortgage lending. JOB SUMMARY As a Compliance Manager, you will understand the importance of executing operational directives and strategy while supporting client delivery SLAs and the balance of quality with urgency. You are knowledgeable of the principles and compliance regulations applicable to mortgage lending, specifically reviewing disclosures and RESPA, and can articulate these when providing solutions to external clients, escrow, title, and third-party vendors. This is a leadership position where you will be responsible for providing coaching and internal development opportunities for your team. JOB DUTIES • Manage and monitor Compliance Underwriters, clients and loan reviews in the process to ensure projects are delivered within the applicable SLA. • Provide post-deal and/or client-specific reporting for management to address QC results, problems and/or questions. • Identify and document any discrepancies during audits to determine scalability and accuracy, document issues in the process, and escalate non-compliance to management. • Enter dates and fees from disclosures into a system of record and run compliance engine analysis to test for issues. • Ensures any exceptions are captured/recorded for incorrect or missing documentation, data errors and any errors on early disclosures. • Research and respond to rebuttals and responses to findings. • Apply exceptions and handle validations where necessary to ensure a complete and accurate review SKILLS & ABILITIES • High technical aptitude - familiarity with Slack, Zoom, G-Suite • Ability to successfully communicate with clients, advise multiple interested parties, and execute business objectives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment • Ability to telecommute • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Analytical ability, quantitative skills, and good judgment • Demonstrated professional behavior and teamwork, punctual, dependable, and able to adhere to company policies and procedures.
