The Due Diligence Compliance Analyst will review loan packages and audit loans for accuracy and completeness. They will also identify discrepancies, enter data into the system, and maintain communication with internal contacts. | Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in Quality Control, Due Diligence, or Secondary Market, particularly in banking or lending. Knowledge of mortgage lending compliance regulations and documentation is required. | WHO YOU ARE... Ability to meet production quality and service standards High technical aptitude - familiarity with Slack, Zoom, GSuite, Microsoft Office Strong written and verbal communication skills - analytical ability, good judgement, detail-oriented and organized WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING… Reviewing loan packages, underwriting guidelines, or data files to identify the documentation necessary for the review Capture required information from such information, which may include bookmarking the relevant pages where such information can be located, in a designated place Audit loans to determine salability or conduct final review of loan documentation for accuracy and completeness Identifying and documenting any discrepancies during audit, document issues in the process Entering data, fees from LEs, CDs and COCs into system of record and running analysis to test for issues Ensuring any exceptions are captured and recorded for incorrect or missing documentation, data errors, and any errors on the LE's and CD’s Researching and responding to rebuttals and responses to findings Maintaining communication with internal contacts as necessary to ensure expectations and timelines are met; escalating issues, as needed Running system logic against information captured and handling any exceptions that may come from the application of this logic against the data captured Applying exceptions and handling validations where necessary to ensure a complete and accurate review Accurate tracking of the time spent on reviews IDEALLY, YOU’LL HAVE... 3 years of experience in Quality Control/Due Diligence/Secondary Market as well as preferred fraud investigative reviews, specifically within banking or lending (required) Knowledge of the principals and compliance regulations and documentation applicable to mortgage lending. The Conditions Specialist will review mortgage loan files for accuracy and verify the presence of required documents. They will also communicate with teams for escalations and ensure compliance with guidelines. | Candidates should have over 5 years of due diligence and underwriting experience, with strong analytical and communication skills. Familiarity with investor guidelines and Non-QM loan processes is essential. | WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING… Review Mortgage loan files to ensure accuracy of information and verify presence of all required documents. Review loan files or applications to identify outstanding stipulations (conditions, verifications, signatures, disclosures, etc.) Validate documents submitted for income, identity, employment, insurance, title, credit, or asset verification. Communicate with operations and transaction management team for any escalations. Accurately update due diligence system to reflect cleared conditions. Ensure compliance with seller or investor guidelines, agency guidelines, and any applicable overlays. Collaborate with underwriting and quality control teams to resolve discrepancies or escalations. Meet production and accuracy goals while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. IDEALLY YOU’LL HAVE... 5+ years of current Due Diligence experience 5+ years current experience in underwriting, preferably with prior experience in Quality Control and Non-QM loan types. Experience with LauraMac is a must Ability to analyze complex transactions and identify errors Strong attention to detail Ability to properly calculated income across a variety of earning types from wage earners to business/self employed income. Strong appraisal review skills Excellent analytical & communication skills Strong ability to perform reviews for a wide range of investors Ability to read and apply investors guidelines to loan reviews. Proficiency in pipeline management with ability to multitask in a high-volume environment Ability to contribute and work in a team environment Ability to work independently Familiarity with best practices for post-close quality control on newly and seasoned originated mortgages Strong knowledge of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac guidelines, QM/ATR Proficiency in Non-QM Loan processes and requirements. Ability to work with multiple investor guidelines and overlays Deep understanding of DSCR/business purposes loans.
