The Rajagopal Lab studies the airway epithelium and its interaction with the immune system during various infectious diseases. Our laboratory is specifically interested in studying the antigen uptake and delivery mechanisms by the airway epithelium during viral and bacterial infections using in vitro airway epithelial and in vivo mouse models. The individual hired for this position will have some experience with animal cell culture, flow-cytometry, immunohistochemistry and fluorescence microscopy. This person will also perform mouse studies including disease modeling, surgery/procedures, and basic animal husbandry.
