As a Team Lead at Marketplace Velocity, you'll oversee a dedicated team managing a portfolio of high-performing Amazon and Walmart accounts. But this isn't just about managing what exists—this is about building your own business unit within ours. You'll have the autonomy to grow your team, develop your people, bring in new business, and chart your own path toward becoming a General Manager. What You'll Do Lead & Scale Your Team Oversee a team of account managers and specialists managing multiple client accounts Own client relationships and ensure exceptional results across your portfolio Build and implement systems that allow your team to scale efficiently Set strategy and direction for how your team approaches account optimization and growth Develop Your People Recruit, train, and mentor account managers and specialists Create training programs and playbooks that elevate team performance Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching Build a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement Drive Business Development Identify and pursue new business opportunities Lead client pitches and close deals for your business unit Develop pricing strategies and service packages Build relationships that generate referrals and expand existing accounts Operate Strategically Analyze team performance metrics and identify growth opportunities Optimize workflows and processes for maximum efficiency Collaborate with other team leads to share best practices Think like a business owner—your team's success is your success About Marketplace Velocity We're a fast-growing Amazon and Walmart marketplace management agency that helps brands scale profitably on major ecommerce platforms. Participate in sales and Amazon training, support client accounts, and develop into a managerial role. | No Amazon experience required; willingness to learn, consistent attendance, and good communication skills needed. | Remote (U.S. Only) | Contract-to-Full-Time We're building an eCommerce agency that helps brands scale on Amazon, Walmart, and beyond. This program is designed to take someone early in their career and develop them into a manager—with real support, clear progression, and no surprises. The First 90 Days (1099 Contractor) You'll start in sales and Amazon training, moving from pure outbound work into hands-on platform education. This isn't busy work—it's how we figure out if you're ready for bigger responsibilities, and you get to figure out if we're the right fit. Month 1: Sales foundations ($3K/month + commission). Build confidence, manage your time, hit targets. Month 2: Balance sales with Amazon training ($3500/month + commission). Show us you learn quickly. Month 3: Transition to 60% Amazon work ($3750/month + commission). Complete a quiz, project, and presentation. At the end of Month 3, we decide together whether to move forward full-time. Months 4–6+ (Full-Time W2) If you're ready, you become a Client Coordinator ($55K/year + commission) supporting client accounts and deepening your Amazon expertise. After that, you transition to Client Strategist ($65K + commission), owning client relationships with senior team support. Management Track As you grow, you'll move into Pod Manager, Senior Manager, and Director roles—managing teams, building processes, and leading strategy. Advancement is based on readiness, not tenure.
