The Operations Manager, Event Management, provides a centralized point of leadership for coordination and execution of face to face, digital and hybrid events/programs ensuring operational excellence across all program operations. This role strives to meet client needs, specifications, objectives, and quality standards. You'll work with the collective event management team and direct reports to maximize contribution margin by effectively managing the customer experience, balancing customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction and organizational cost. What You'll Be Doing 65% - Team Management & Leadership: • Provide mentorship and coaching to the team for all areas of event management across all markets and event types. • Coordinates and facilitates regular team meetings and communications. Identifies training/learning opportunities for direct reports as well as ongoing performance coaching and goal setting. • Identify opportunities for ROIs on an ongoing basis. Responsible for accurate labor, time tracking and T&E within the team. • Provides ongoing coaching and has regular development conversations. Ensures timely and accurate T&E expense reporting. • Assists in the development and implementation of initiatives to address business goals. • Provides expertise with regards to destination, hotel and organization/internal services. Monitoring and reporting for SLA adherence. Interacts with client stakeholders answering questions and resolving issues. • Support new initiatives & processes within company and EM. Support new employee onboarding and responsible for invoicing approvals. 35% Target Account Work: • Act as the Meeting Event Management support for all programs assigned. Responsibilities include project & experience management of assigned programs, relationship management and financial management. • Ensures adherence to workflow process and responsible for client SOPs. • Balances a workload of event management account projects, along with people management. • Oversees target accounts in event management for operational consistency, client deliverables, best practices and SOPs on account. What You'll Bring • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Meeting, Events and/or Incentive Travel pre-sale and/or post-sale activities required. • 1-2 years of proven supervisory and/or leadership experience. • Strong organization, motivation, and communication skills to manage multiple teams. • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization; internal, client, and partner. • Experience working in events within a HCP environment. Nice to Have • Global travel/hospitality industry experience and knowledge desirable. • Understanding of Experience Design and ability to articulate how previous events have achieved business objectives and guest impressions is a plus. • Experience working with and/or exposure to budgets preferred. • Designations such as PMP (Professional Meeting Planner), CMP (Certified Meeting Planner), CIS, CITP, HMCC, DES certification desired. The Senior IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of DevOps practices within the organization. This role combines leadership, technical expertise, and business alignment to drive the efficient development, deployment, and operation of cloud systems. The ideal candidate will lead a cross-functional team, implement best practices in CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, automation, and security, and ensure operational excellence and scalability of IT services. This position is located in Fenton, MO and observes a hybrid work schedule, coming into the office 3 days a week, T, W, and Th. As the Senior Manager of IT focused on DevOps, the role encompasses a blend of operational oversight, project execution, and support leadership. Operationally, this leader is responsible for managing and optimizing infrastructure services, automating infrastructure deployment through infrastructure-as-code, ensuring the availability and scalability of cloud environments, and embedding security practices. From a project standpoint, the manager oversees the planning and delivery of infrastructure and deployment-related initiatives, including cloud migrations, DevOps toolchain implementations, and environment modernization efforts, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budgets. This includes resource management via matrix-based projects led by application development teams. On the support side, the role involves supporting incident response and root cause analysis for production issues, maintaining system observability and performance monitoring, and collaborating closely with development, QA, and IT support teams to ensure reliable deployments and rapid issue resolution. Additionally, the Senior Manager mentors DevOps engineers and fosters a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability across technical teams. Additional Responsibilities • Collaborate with software engineering, security, and architecture teams to drive cloud best practices. • Oversee the deployment and maintenance of infrastructure as code (Terraform), and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes). • Ensure system uptime, scalability, and security across cloud providers. • Champion automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and eliminate bottlenecks. • Evaluate and recommend tools, services, and platforms that support cloud maturity and operational goals. • Provide clear communication and reporting on infrastructure health, incidents, and projects. • Support audits, compliance efforts, and disaster recovery planning. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent work experience. • 7+ years of progressive IT experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role focused on DevOps or Cloud Engineering. • Proven experience managing teams who support large-scale cloud environments (GCP, AWS, or Azure) • Strong collaboration skills with software engineering, security, and architecture teams to establish and maintain cloud best practices. • Demonstrated ability to foster a DevOps culture focused on continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence. • Track record of ensuring uptime, scalability, and security across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). • Strong communication skills for delivering clear infrastructure health reports, incident updates, and project status. • Proficient in managing cloud platform operations with an emphasis on cost optimization, performance tuning, and security hardening.
