The Man Direct Lending technology team is part of Man’s Discretionary Technology department — ~20 engineers across London and New York building the platforms that power Man Group’s discretionary investment and client-facing operations. The team works very closely with the front-office investment professionals in New York, as well as the broader Discretionary tech department in the UK. The team is focused on integration and automation of deal pipelines, data flows and report generation, leveraging the best tools available from Man’s technology platform. This role will support Portfolio and Asset Management activities and will be responsible for NAV oversight, cash management, client reporting, & Profit & Loss (PnL) analysis. Possessing excellent communication and administrative skills, the Analyst will be responsible for a significant portion of the day-to-day operations support and managing relationships with our operations counterparts at our clients & external counterparties. Responsibilities • Assisting in the direction and administration of operations and processes for our funds. • Check and process all cash management and payment processing activities including, margin calls, loan closings, drawdowns, paydowns, & interest payments. • Ensure the quality and effectiveness of the pricing governance and controls are maintained through identification and mitigation of pricing risks and the communication/documentation of any enhancements to the framework. Ensure relevant information is incorporated in the valuation of the investments and that valuations are reflective of fair value. • Calculate Net Asset Value (NAV) of funds on a daily, weekly and monthly basis including checking accrued income and expenses. Provision of intra-NAV estimates to the Asset Managers/Clients when requested. • Liaise with the fund administrator/s to reconcile final fund NAVs and monitor deliverables against service levels. • Work with team members to develop and deliver client reporting, respond to client queries and assist the wider business where necessary • Oversight of changes to incentive/performance fees, management fees, and any other fee structures in scope • Responsible for the account setup and daily reconciliation of transactions ensuring accuracy of the entries generated. • Responsible for service provider relationships including but not limited to, fund administration, loan administration, banking, auditors, valuation agents, etc. • Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and monthly investor reports. • Actively monitor risk by identifying trends and potential issues with operational controls to improve the control environment and drive efficiencies. • Taking a proactive and innovative approach to enhancing processes and maintaining internal policies and procedures manuals.
