This role is responsible for managing the new car sales team, driving sales performance, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, and maintaining strong manufacturer relationships. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with proven automotive sales management experience and a passion for developing people and processes. Key Responsibilities Sales Leadership & Performance • Lead, coach, and motivate the new vehicle sales team to achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals • Desk deals, structure transactions, and ensure profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction • Monitor daily sales activity, close ratios, gross profit, and inventory turn Customer Experience • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the sales process • Handle escalated customer concerns professionally and effectively • Promote a transparent, ethical, and customer-first sales culture Inventory & Pricing Management • Manage new vehicle inventory levels, aging, and merchandising • Work with GM programs, incentives, and pricing strategies to maximize market competitiveness • Coordinate with the GSM and inventory managers on ordering and allocation Team Development • Recruit, train, and develop sales consultants • Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and sales meetings • Implement sales processes and best practices to improve efficiency and results Compliance & Reporting • Ensure compliance with dealership policies, state regulations, and manufacturer standards • Maintain accurate sales documentation and reporting • Collaborate with F&I to ensure smooth deal flow and compliance Qualifications • Minimum 3–5 years of automotive sales management experience, preferably in new vehicle sales • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and gross profit goals • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills • In-depth knowledge of automotive sales processes, desking, and manufacturer programs • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities • Proficiency with dealership CRM and DMS systems • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Compensation & Benefits • Competitive salary plus performance-based commission/bonus • Medical, dental, and vision insurance • 401(k) with company match (if applicable) • Paid time off and holidays • Employee vehicle purchase and service discounts • Opportunities for career growth within the Lunghamer Automotive Group Work Schedule • Full-time position • Flexible schedule including evenings and Saturdays as required by dealership operations Equal Opportunity Employer Lunghamer Buick GMC is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity in the workplace.
