Lubrizol is currently looking for a Communications Manager, Operations to join our Marketing Communications team. This role will specifically support our Texas manufacturing plants, as well as provide support and partnership to the Operations Communications Director. In this role, you will develop, implement, and evaluate communications strategies aimed at informing, inspiring, and engaging Lubrizol's 8,000 global employees about the company's purpose, strategy, and values. You will be part of a diverse and talented Marketing Communications team, contributing to projects that have broad impact and high visibility. What You Will Do: • Develop and execute communications and engagement strategies for Deer Park leadership and employees to foster a culture of safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. • Support the Operations strategy, strategic initiatives, annual Texas facilities objectives, safety programs, and change management initiative communications. • Assist the Communications Director - Operations in managing the tactical execution of various channels and platforms to support the broader Operations employee base. • Support local events, such as employee town hall meetings, recognition events, customer engagements, and tours from executives and public officials, by preparing associated communications, including talking points, FAQs, presentations, and materials. • Collaborate closely with all other members of the Marketing Communications team, specifically the Internal Communications and Creative Services, to achieve goals. • Execute media training, crisis training/PIO alignment, and security system roll-outs in collaboration with the Operations director. • Create content to support an inclusive culture and contribute to the Lubrizol proud storytelling database. • Proactively create content for "Be Better" communications opportunities, including articles, use cases, success stories, and recognition moments. • Maintain and optimize online resources, such as the SharePoint-based Texas Central Hub, manage digital signage, breakroom/bulletin board content, and site newsletters in collaboration with the learning and development team and the Operations communications team. • Support plant leadership in their interactions with community stakeholders by preparing templated materials about the company and organizing proactive site communication events, including ribbon cuttings, community meetings, job expansions, and local media profiles to enhance Lubrizol's visibility as a community partner. • Update plant fact sheets, Lubrizol.com facility website content, community engagement presentations, and other tools to be leveraged across sites. Skills That Make A Difference: • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field is required; relevant equivalent experience may be considered in place of a degree. • A minimum of 5 years of experience in internal communications or corporate communications roles. • Expertise in executing communication strategies. • Ability to collaborate effectively with Operations and Marketing Communication partners throughout the Lubrizol organization. • Experience in partnering with key stakeholders to prioritize and deliver on multiple or complex projects; with the ability to meet deadlines and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Strong ability to interact with diverse groups, develop robust networks, and build credibility within the organization to drive projects forward. • Exceptional oral and written communication skills to convey complex information effectively.
