MUST HAVE You’re a proven closer who understands how to pitch newsletter and branded content programs that perform. You’ve sold directly to brands or agencies and know how to build trust, deliver ROI, and grow accounts over time. 5+ years of experience in direct digital media sales, with a strong preference for candidates who have sold newsletter sponsorships, branded content, or native advertising. OUTCOMES (Performance Expectations) Close revenue-generating deals within your first 90 days, including net new advertisers across key verticals: Financial Services, Travel, Lifestyle, CPG, Automotive and more Build and maintain a scalable outbound pipeline, with accurate segmentation by revenue tier and category Develop and pitch compelling custom media packages using email inventory, branded content, and social extensions to meet brand KPIs (CPC, CPM, flat fee) Maintain >75% renewal rate across managed accounts and consistently increase account value via upsells Translate audience and engagement data into performance storytelling that improves proposal conversion rate Own post-sale relationships, delivering QBRs, creative refreshes, and campaign performance insights Ensure clean CRM hygiene and forecasting, contributing to visibility and sales process adoption Partner cross-functionally with content and ad ops to deliver seamless campaign execution and optimizations COMPETENCIES Sales Acumen You’re a proven seller who’s comfortable owning the full sales cycle and pitching performance-driven content programs. TOTAL COMPENSATION Base salary is set according to market rates for the nearest major metro and varies based on Launch Potato’s Levels Framework. This role will be focused on supporting our editorial teams that create SEO content. To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be a detail-oriented person who is able to work independently on a variety of responsibilities with both short and long-term deadlines. You should be comfortable working in a CMS and able to assemble and publish content. You should have strong writing skills in the event that content needs to be adjusted or updated. You must be 100% okay with having ad hoc tasks added to your to-do list and be able to pivot quickly. Tasks could range from optimizing hyperlinks in published content to collecting and inputting information into Google spreadsheets to assisting with compliance projects to cropping and uploading photos. You are excited by the fact that “editing” for digital media encompasses a lot more than proofreading, and you enjoy contributing to the team’s success no matter the task.
