Support the CEO in strategic, operational, and communication tasks to enhance organizational effectiveness. | Requires biotech or life sciences background, top-tier writing skills, first-principles thinking, and early-career experience. | About Loyal Loyal is a clinical-stage veterinary medicine company developing longevity drugs for dogs. We're pioneering a new category of veterinary prescription drugs that proactively and preventatively target the underlying drivers of aging, delaying the onset of disease and preserving quality of life as dogs age. Loyal is a well-funded startup with teams of scientists, veterinarians, engineers, operators, and creatives. You'll help us continue on our path of earning FDA approval for the first lifespan extension medicine for any species — and change what's possible for the dogs we love. About the role We’re seeking an experienced Operations Generalist in the Office of the CEO. We’re looking for an Operations Generalist to work directly with our Founder/CEO Celine to multiply her capacity and execute whatever is the highest priority that month - strategy, operations, special projects, comms, fundraising, and building new functions from scratch. This role is for someone who is hungry, has an exceptional writing bar, thinks in first principles, and is comfortable jumping into messy, ambiguous work and turning it into crisp decisions and execution. You must be willing to work with the CEOs schedule (usually calls and team meetings during the day, and IC work in the evenings). You must have an extremely low ego, be extremely organized, autonomous, and high growth. This is a great role for an early-career individual who wants to accelerate their growth, perhaps to become a founder themselves in a couple of years or another operator role. You must be willing to do all manners of work, from administrative to strategic leadership. This is not an executive or leadership role. What you’ll do Be the CEO’s force multiplier: your number one job is to make Celine a better CEO for the team, company, and mission. Research: you’ll set up Celine for success in partnership calls, meetings, interviews, conferences, regulatory interactions, etc. Problem solving sprints: you’ll run on diverse problems across the organization. Board + investor execution: draft board decks, memos, and investor updates with clarity and strong narrative. CEO comms: prepare internal comms—All Paws decks, workshops, leadership updates, and key messages. Fundraising support: shadow and support Celine across fundraising workstreams (including the unglamorous but critical parts). Triage + admin support: manage CEO to-dos and priorities, collaborate tightly with the EA, and handle selective email triage/writing. What we’re looking for Early career: you are likely in the first three to five years of your post-academic career. Bio background required (biotech, life sciences, pharma, or adjacent). You can speak to the intersection of biological sciences and business. Top-tier writer: you can produce CEO-ready decks/memos/emails that are crisp, structured, and persuasive. First-principles thinker: you reason from facts, ask the right questions, and avoid cargo-cult processes. 0 →1 operator: you can stand up “v1” quickly and iterate fast based on feedback. You proactively seek out feedback and can handle it with ease and depersonalization. Strong judgment + ownership: you know what matters, what can wait, and when to escalate. Influence without authority: you can drive outcomes across teams through relationships, clarity, and follow-through. High EQ: you can read a room, represent the CEO well, and create healthy discomfort when needed. Comfort with numbers: solid quantitative reasoning (models, spreadsheets, pressure-testing assumptions). Highly organized: you can track many parallel threads without dropping balls. You are extremely reliable and will not need micromanagement (and will likely resent any attempt at it). Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000 Loyal benefits Full-coverage health insurance — medical, dental and vision — for you and your dependents $1,000 home office equipment stipend $1,200/year learning budget for books, courses, etc. $250/month wellness budget for gym, cleaners, spa, food, etc. All 3-day weekends are turned into 4-day weekends 🎉 Unlimited vacation and paid holidays Paw-ternity leave — adopt a dog and get a day off with your new family member 🐶 Competitive salary Company equity options grant for new hires Loyal is founded and led by a first-gen female CEO and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
