THE ROLE We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to shape Discover, the part of our software suite where brands monitor their presence and their competitors’ presence, analyse and benchmark their performance and uncover what's driving it. Among monitoring and reporting features, we're currently bringing to life many AI-led features and advanced analytics capabilities that allow our customers to see how their brand is performing across media, influencers, celebrities and more, with Media Impact Value (MIV) at its heart. This role plays a key part in our Tech & Product strategy, directly supporting company-wide objectives around customer retention, data trust, and the development of new AI-based insights. WHAT YOU'LL DO • Contribute to building new features from initial architecture choices to the marketable product impulsing innovative solutions and the most recent technologies • Collaborate with team members to maintain and improve existing features by fixing defects and doing continuous refactors to modernize the technical stack and reduce the overall architecture complexity • Act as a Frontend expert, leveraging deep expertise in React and Redux, to guide the team with valuable insights, improvements, and suggestions on best practices regarding frontend code • Architect efficient database schemas for new implementations or contribute to improve existing ones • Work closely with product management, designers and QA to define user requirements and translating them into reliable, intuitive features • Evangelize code quality through writing well-architected, structured code, unit tests, while following best industry practices • Be a driver of AI-led improvements across our tech stack, documentation, tooling, and organization • Refactor, optimize and constantly drive for improved efficiency and code health and reduced complexity REQUIREMENTS • Engineer Degree - Master Degree in Computer Science and a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in full-stack developments in a SaaS environment with Agile methodologies • Minimum 2 years of experience working with Javascript/Typescript • Experience with, or strong interest in, AI-assisted development workflows (e.g. Claude, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate coding, testing, and code review • Strong expertise with React • Experience building a RESTful API, or even better, a GraphQL API • Experience working with modern data platforms (e.g. Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake) for building and optimizing data pipelines, or similar experience with search engines like ElasticSearch • Good understanding of data modeling, performance tuning, and lifecycle management (partitioning, indexing/clustering, schema evolution) in large-scale distributed data systems • Bright, energetic, highly motivated self-starter with experience in a fast-paced, results-oriented organization • Ability to adapt, estimate workload, break down a task into logical steps, solve problems, self-improve and suggest new ways of improvement • You care about the long-term maintainability of the codebase and advocate for refactoring and clean-ups when appropriate • Last, but definitely not least: you speak, read, and write English fluently Technical Stack • Languages: TypeScript, Python, Java • Frameworks: Node.js, React, Serverless, Express.js • Database & Data Platform: Databricks, MySQL, Redis • Search: ElasticSearch • Cloud providers: Amazon • Main AWS technologies: Lambda, Docker on ECS/Fargate, Step functions, Kinesis, SQS, SNS, S3 • Tools: Jira, Sentry, VSCode, ... • Versioning tool: Git, Github • CI/CD: Github actions, Jenkins • Testing: Jest, React Testing Library RECRUITMENT PROCESS • Intro call with Talent Acquisition, to get to know each other (30 min). • Meet & Greet with VP Software Development. • Technical Interview, a live interview with a couple of Software Engineers. • Team fit with the engineers and peers you'd build alongside. The role The Launch domain (Samples and Events) builds the operational platforms brands rely on to run their collection launches and their in-person moments. The team owns: • Events, the platform behind the world's most important fashion shows: it handles the planning (seating and floor plans, invitee lists, invitations) and the live logistics, checking in over a million attendees every season • Samples, the tooling brands use to manage and track their physical assets across a launch, so the right pieces reach the right influencers and celebrities and fewer opportunities, and fewer samples, are lost. You'll work on a system built for scale and reliability under real-world pressure, where the roadmap is pushing toward Enterprise customers, new event types beyond the runway (store openings, exclusive dinners, parties), deeper integration with clients' enterprise systems, and hundreds of people collaborating on a single event. What you'll do • Build and maintain back-end systems using the latest versions of PHP, MySQL, and the Laravel framework. • Develop and maintain front-end components and features using React, and implement efficient bundling/building processes using Esbuild, Vite or equivalent tools. • Collaborate with the design and product teams to deliver user-friendly interfaces and ensure seamless user experiences. • Design, develop, and maintain APIs to support front-end functionalities and ensure high performance and responsiveness. • Perform code reviews, write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, and actively participate in problem-solving and architectural decisions with the rest of the team. • Write and maintain unit tests for both front-end and back-end code to ensure code quality, reliability, and maintainability. • Monitor and maintain the tech stack and dependencies using npm & composer, ensuring their stability, security, and efficiency. • Keep documentation up to date, ensuring clear and comprehensive information for the codebase, APIs, and system architecture. • Use AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code) as a core part of the daily workflow — from scaffolding and refactors to test generation and documentation — while maintaining full ownership and critical review of anything AI-generated before it ships. • Build and maintain reusable "skills" / prompt playbooks / agent workflows that encode team conventions, architectural patterns, and coding standards, so AI tooling produces consistent, production-ready output across the team. • Continuously evaluate and help define internal AI usage standards (code review criteria for AI-assisted PRs, guardrails for sensitive data in prompts, approved tools and models) to keep velocity gains from becoming technical debt or security risk.
