(Grapevine, TX) Job Overview This Assistant Manager role at Kubota is responsible for leading cross-functional IT project teams and managing end-to-end project delivery from initial scoping and stakeholder alignment to execution and risk communication. The position plays a critical role in shaping project design, ensuring consistent methodology and high-quality outcomes that exceed management and user expectations. It involves working closely with business users to define needs, establish objectives and milestones, coordinate resources and schedules, and oversee quality control throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines: • Develop and maintain project work plans that consider strategic goals, priorities, milestones, time estimates, task sequencing and critical paths while at the same time determining what tasks can be performed concurrently. • Leads, creates, manages and maintains all aspects of project management including schedules, budgets, and correspondence that supports the ongoing projects. • Ensures the timely and quality development of all deliverables for projects. • Must be able to thoroughly assess projects eliminating or minimizing scope creep. • Follow consistent methodology to track and maintain future enhancements as additional requirements are added unexpectedly to a project. • Records important decisions made in meetings and manages communication for delivery. • Support OpEx and CapEx, IT vendors, RFPs, equipment allocations, leases, contractor agreements/invoices to support business requirements. • Coordinates vendor approval process, contracts and controls by working with Contract Management Office. • Help other IT team members with project load to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and to the required standard of Kubota. • Manages and distributes correspondence and reports for management to enhance department efficiency. • Create presentations and reports for senior management. • Accepts, interprets and implements project direction from Manager or Director in a timely, professional manner. • Partner with key business users from dealers, divisions and home office departments to derive project needs that will enhance operations and systems. • Help Quality Control PMO policies and procedures. • Provide feedback and recommendations for improvements on PMO and IS toolset usage. • Conducts administrative work such as purchase orders, calendar facilitation, invoices and auditing expense reports within the department, as needed. • The position will be asked to perform other projects and duties as assigned by the Director and/or Kubota Management. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Project Management, or related field preferred • PMI certification and/or Six Sigma training preferred; required in place of a relevant degree • In lieu of a degree at least 5 years of IT/Technical experience required • With a degree, at least 3 years of IT/Technical experience required • At least 3 years of project management experience required • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to a non-technical audience. • Must be customer service oriented and able to interact professionally with contractors, other Kubota Entities, and corporate management. • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet’s and G Suite • Experience in strategic planning and execution • Experienced in leadership, management and negotiation skills with the ability to be assertive before project tasks and go-live dates are late • Proven ability to be effective in a mission-driven environment • Able to document complex requirements in a uniform and logical format that’s easily understood by both business and technical groups. Perform mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic work in the shop and assure a safe shop work environment. Understand customer applications and use of Kubota products. PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES: This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines: • Assembles and operates equipment for performance and durability tests for product engineers according to the specs of the equipment (prototype and production units). • Prepares prototype machines for end-of-life destruction after testing. Prepares test report for engineering evaluation and approval. • Verifies installation instructions and manuals for technical information, ie. time, tools, methods. Ensures quality installation of parts on equipment to meet standard and compliance requirements and that each machine leaving the shop is 100% fit for use. • Prepares and paints equipment for marketing presentations and shows and provide technical support to Engineering, Advertising, Sales and Marketing Departments. • Coordinates on a daily basis with the shop supervisor with direction from engineering manager and product engineers. • Repairs and maintains shop tools and equipment. • Attends training seminars for new product as well as computer classes to strive to do a more thorough job. One week per year in Kubota University Technical Training and one week per year riding with a service technician learning machine trouble shooting, customer and dealer requirements. • Shares ideas regarding technology with colleagues and other departments. Strives to discover innovative ideas that improve the performance, durability and quality of products and implements. Demonstrates a commitment to improvement and willingness to learn and to be flexible with ideas. • Other duties as assigned by management. Minimum Qualifications • High school diploma or GED required. 2 Year Associates degree preferred or 3 years relevant experience. • At least 2 years’ experience with maintenance and operation of heavy equipment, off-road mobile machinery, and independent mechanic work and tool ability. • Experience with loading and rigging trailers preferred. • Experience evaluating equipment and technical manuals preferred. • Critical thinking and electrical/mechanical analysis techniques. • Experience in 2-3 of the following areas preferred: welding, carpentry, steel fabrication, truck driving, diagnostics, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, reading drawings and schematics. • Must be able to travel. EQUIPMENT OPERATION (% of time, description, nature of service): • All Kubota lines: tractors, turf, RTV and construction equipment with attachments and implements- Kubota line needs to be assembled, tested, serviced or repaired accordingly • Also, office equipment including computer, copier, fax, phone, printer, large screen monitors. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. The position will require walking, standing and sitting at a computer, work bench, ladders, scissor lifts, personal protective equipment, and in some cases lying on the floor or in dirt/grass. This role is responsible for supplier identification and selection, contract and price negotiations, cost reduction initiatives, and supplier relationship management. The Analyst will collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product Management, Sales, Marketing, and Service teams, and will participate in supplier visits, QBRs, and continuous improvement efforts. PRINCIPLE ACTIVITIES • Review and support the development of supplier agreements and contracts. • Lead sourcing activities for new parts, including pricing, design reviews, tooling development, and milestone tracking. • Manage pricing negotiations and updates, ensuring accurate internal processing and supplier communication. • Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCAs). • Conduct supplier visits to assess capabilities and identify new sourcing opportunities. • Drive and implement annual cost reduction initiatives aligned with company targets. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support procurement and sourcing strategies. • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
