The Job Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: • Engineer, design, install, configure, and optimize Windows Server operating systems for the Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS) Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) network • Provide system and engineering support for Windows Server infrastructure on the JWICS network for documented and approved projects and tasks • Ensure all engineered Windows Server solutions are in compliance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Department of Defense (DoD), and OIG policies and standards for TS/SCI systems • Ensure engineered Windows Server solutions are designed to maintain the highest availability and service dependability on the JWICS network • Maintain existing and, as required, develop new documentation that includes Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and System Architecture Guides and Diagrams, adhering to organizational templates, policies, and standards for JWICS Windows Server systems • Perform root cause analysis of critical Windows Server outages and incidents on JWICS, engineer permanent solutions, and coordinate implementation • Support the OIG Project Management Office (PMO) and Enterprise Architect (EA) during requirement analysis to develop technical solution options for JWICS Windows Server infrastructure • Provide OIG management with proposed configurations, optimizations, and system improvement plans for JWICS Windows Server platforms • Work with the OIG PMO to establish and meet project milestones to ensure all solutions meet documented customer requirements and are within project scope • Follow all OIG Change Management and Engineering Review processes and ensure changes are completed according to the project and release manager schedule for JWICS Windows Server systems • Work as part of a project team to engineer and develop migration plans for existing Windows Server services, ensuring minimal service interruption on JWICS • Engineer and design Windows Server hardware and software solutions as required to ensurethe capacity and availability of OIG services on JWICS • Engineer, install, configure, optimize, support, and design Windows Server solutions that incorporate DoD security requirements such as Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Host-Based Security System (HBSS) for JWICS • Perform installation, configuration, and administration of Windows Server operating systems in physical and virtualized environments on JWICS • Configure and manage Windows Server roles and features, including Active Directory Domain Services, Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), file services, print services, and Internet Information Services (IIS) • Manage and administer Microsoft Active Directory, including user accounts, group policies, organizational units, and security groups on JWICS • Create and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce security policies and configuration standards on JWICS • Apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), patches, updates, and security fixes to Windows Server systems following established change management procedures on JWICS • Monitor Windows Server performance, capacity, and availability on JWICS and proactively address issues • Perform Windows Server system backups and restoration procedures on JWICS • Troubleshoot and resolve Windows Server issues, including boot problems, service failures, and performance degradation on JWICS • Configure and manage Windows Server clustering and high availability solutions on JWICS • Implement and manage Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) for patch management on JWICS • Configure and support file and print services on Windows Server systems on JWICS • Manage storage allocation and disk management for Windows Server systems on JWICS • Coordinate with virtualization specialists for Windows Server virtual machine deployment and management on JWICS • Create and maintain Windows Server system documentation, including configuration guides, troubleshooting procedures, and runbooks for JWICS • Provide technical support and guidance to users and help desk staff for JWICS Windows Server issues • Utilize remote administration tools to analyze and resolve Windows Server workstation and server issues on JWICS • Maintain strict adherence to all Sensitive Compartmented Information security protocols and procedures • Meet OIG established service level metrics and performance standards for JWICS Windows Server operations • Travel within the Continental United States (CONUS) and the National Capital Region (NCR) may be required to attend meetings, conferences, and training Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in computer science, information systems, information technology, engineering, or a related technical field • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Windows Server administration, systems engineering, or related technical support roles • Extensive experience with Microsoft Windows Server operating systems (Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, 2019, or later) • Experience working in classified environments, specifically with Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information systems • Experience with JWICS (Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System) network operations and support • Experience with Active Directory Domain Services administration, including user management, group policies, and organizational units • Experience with Windows Server roles and features, including DNS, DHCP, file services, print services, and IIS • Experience with Group Policy Object (GPO) creation and management • Experience with Windows Server patch management and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance • Experience with Windows Server performance monitoring, capacity planning, and optimization • Knowledge of Department of Defense Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and compliance requirements for TS/SCI Windows Server systems • Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Host-Based Security System (HBSS) implementation in classified environments • Experience with change management and engineering review processes in classified environments • Experience with Windows Server in virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V) • Strong documentation skills and ability to create technical documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and system architecture diagrams • Experience working in a government or DoD environment with classified systems • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail required for classified operations • Excellent communication skills and ability to provide technical support and guidance • Current Top Secret/SCI security clearance or
