THE ROLE As a Senior Quality Engineer at Khan Academy for a 24 months fixed term, you will ensure the quality and reliability of our web-based products used by schools and learners to improve educational outcomes. You will engage in both manual testing and test automation, developing and maintaining automated tests to detect regressions while also performing comprehensive manual testing of new features. Working within a cross-functional product development team, you will collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and support teams to advocate for exceptional user experiences through all stages of the product design and development lifecycle. Your strong communication skills, keen eye, creativity, and experience in automated test development at all levels (frontend, backend, white box, and black box) will be key to your success in this role. Proficiency in test automation tools like Cypress, with hands-on experience writing and maintaining automated tests. Strong manual testing skills, capable of designing and executing thorough test cases. Hands-on experience using AI development tools to accelerate the QE role in novel ways. Experience shaping an engineering team’s quality strategy. Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript for test automation and Python for backend testing, with an openness to learning new tools, systems, and languages.Experience in UNIX/Linux environments, and familiarity with using virtual machines or containers. Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, such as Jenkins. Knowledge of accessibility testing, including automated a11y testing, and familiarity with WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines. Excellent documentation and communication skills to effectively collaborate and enhance testing processes. The Revenue Operations Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the sales to payment process for our customers and ensuring the accuracy of incoming payments and accounts receivable from our district customers and donors. RESPONSIBILITIES Partner with the Sales and Philanthropy teams to create, update, and manage customer invoices. Manage customer collections and serve as the primary point of contact for billing and payment inquiries. Collect, review, and record transaction-level cash activity from multiple sources, including bank accounts, Stripe, PayPal, and donation platforms, and post activity in the accounting system. Prepare and record cash-related accruals for processed transactions that have not yet been deposited. About the Role We’re looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer I to join Khan Academy’s Analytics Engineering (AE) team. You’ll play a leading role in designing and building the datasets, pipelines, and semantic models that power insights across our organization. You’ll own key areas of our data modeling ecosystem, partner closely with Data Infrastructure (DI), Data Analysts, and Product/Program teams, and help ensure that our data warehouse (BigQuery) and BI layer (Looker) remain reliable, performant, and trusted. This role is ideal for someone who’s deeply experienced in dbt and Looker, enjoys solving complex modeling challenges, and takes ownership of how data flows and scales across the organization. What You’ll Do Design, implement, and optimize dbt models that transform raw event- and entity-level data into analytics-ready datasets. Own and evolve data domains that support reporting across Khan Academy. Develop, document, and test semantic and reporting layers in Looker (LookML). Partner with Analysts to establish consistent metric definitions, reusable data patterns, and shared governance practices.
