The Vice President, Kaplan Medical Education will drive the strategy, execution, and performance of Kaplan’s medical education portfolio. This leader will oversee operations, product innovation, and growth, including continuing medical education (CME), test preparation for medical licensure exams, and educational programming for international and domestic learners. The VP will guide cross-functional teams and collaborate across the organization to position Kaplan Medical Education as the premier destination for learners, institutions, and professional partners. Primary/Key Responsibilities: • Set the strategic vision for the medical education portfolio to grow impact, reach, and revenue. • Oversee daily operations across content development, production, outcomes measurement, compliance, finance, and strategic alliances. • Lead, inspire, and manage a high-performing team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and program effectiveness. • Maintain and grow key partner relationships with academic, industry, and accrediting institutions to strengthen the product and brand. • Ensure CME and educational programs meet accreditation standards and learner outcomes, including ongoing reaccreditation cycles (e.g., Joint Accreditation, ACCME, ACPE, ANCC). • Direct implementation of educational innovations, including AI-driven personalization and shared decision-making content. • Lead budget development and operational decision-making to ensure financial sustainability and scalability. • Partner with cross-functional leaders in Sales, Marketing, Product, and Technology to ensure seamless learner experience and strong go-to-market performance. • Analyze trends, learner data, and partner feedback to inform product enhancements and positioning. • Represent Kaplan in public forums, conferences, and with clients as an authoritative voice on medical education strategy and innovation. Education & Experience • Level of Formal Education and Area of Study: Bachelor’s degree in Health, Biology, Education, or related field. Advanced degree preferred. • Years and Type of Experience: Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in medical education, healthcare, or edtech environments, including experience with CME, accreditation, and health education innovation. The Media Delivery Manager is responsible for overseeing a broad portfolio of Learning Media projects, engaging in strategic planning, ensuring operational excellence, and driving efficiencies.
