Job Description GMP Cleaner - JLL What this job involves: This position requires strict adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), established cleaning policies and procedures, to maintain compliance with quality standards and FDA regulations. The incumbent plays a critical role in assuring sanitary conditions of the controlled areas are maintained, to allow for the manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals. You will follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure acceptable environmental monitoring results of the cleaned GMP environment are maintained while maintaining neat and accurate room and equipment sanitization records with professional behavior always displayed within the controlled areas. What your day-to-day will look like: • Perform sanitization and cleaning per governing SOPs in GMP spaces • Execute sanitization activities using ceiling mops, wall mops, floor mops, and wipers • Verify proper sanitization disinfectant rotation is followed and correct disinfectant is used for each cleaning assignment • Complete required GMP documentation to ensure records are properly and accurately maintained • Dispose of waste from GMP manufacturing process area waste receptacles daily • Organize and maintain sanitization supply areas • Participate in required training on the use of sanitization disinfectants and equipment Required Qualifications: • High School Diploma or equivalent • Prior experience cleaning a biopharmaceutical GMP controlled environment • English usage, reading and writing proficiency • Computer experience • Attention to detail • Excellent attendance record • Ability to follow work instructions Preferred Qualifications: • Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) knowledge • Good Documentation Practices (GDP) familiarity • Strong communication skills, both oral and written • Ability to work in team environment and independently • Experience establishing collaborative working relationships with internal and external customers • Customer service experience with both internal and external customers • Knowledge of company policies and practices, including safety rules and regulations Physical Requirements and Working Environment: • No make-up, nail polish, and/or jewelry may be worn in the GMP process areas • Incumbent is subject to extended periods of standing, walking, pushing, and pulling, bending and crouching, climbing, and lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to 50 pounds • Continuous mental and visual attention to manufacturing functions • Continuous standing and walking throughout workday Majority of time spent fully gowned including head covering, facemask, gloves, plant shoes, safety glasses/goggles and/or face shield • Working in the ancillary support space adjacent to the GMP areas described above to ensure cleanliness Location: Onsite - Berkley, CA Work Shift: 6AM-2:30PM, Sun-Thurs or Tues-Sat (Weekend, holiday, and overtime work may be required) (Full time, non-exempt position. Must join Local SIEU within 90 days) Estimated compensation for this position: 44,720.00 - 49,920.00 USD per year This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Supervisor, Janitorial Services - JLL What this job involves: As a Supervisor, Janitorial Services at JLL, you will ensure the proper operation and performance of all aspects of a comprehensive sanitation program in both manufacturing and administrative environments while validating that all hourly staff perform their jobs to established standards. This role requires you to present yourself in professional appearance and manner while conducting beginning of shift briefings, assigning personnel to routes and equipment, and running the floor throughout the entire shift. You'll supervise all cleaning staff focusing on their performance in terms of cleanliness standards and behavior while on duty that reflects JLL's commitment to operational excellence and safety compliance. What your day-to-day will look like: Shift Management and Operations: • Review previous shift End of Shift (EOS) report while annotating carryover items and developing action plans • Conduct beginning of shift briefings including personnel assignments to routes and required equipment • Conduct safety briefings and submit beginning of shift reports to Project Manager • Ensure all personnel conduct pre and post operation checks on assigned equipment • Run the floor throughout entire shift while flexing employees to address hot spots and absences • Deploy emergency response cleanup as needed via radio communication • Audit routes assessing employee cleaning and sanitizing procedures throughout shift using Corrigo • Report incidents and hazards to JLL/Safety leadership while conducting spot checks on employee PPE requirements Training and Development: • Review and understand JLL policies and procedures along with janitorial vendor and UAW policies • Review and train on Lock-Out safety processes while ensuring staff awareness of Health and Safety policies • Understand and train all employees on proper chemical usage and PPE requirements • Train on all assigned equipment within area and understand basic preventive maintenance procedures • Train employees on general and plant housekeeping programs via Task Instruction Sheets (TIS) • Build rapport with area Maintenance Engineers and area leadership Supervisory Responsibilities: • Establish cleaning standards and procedures for workers while ensuring adherence to TIS standards • Coach and develop employees (cleaners) through ongoing performance management • Schedule and assign specific duties/roles to cleaners while ensuring expert execution • Inspect cleaning equipment regularly to validate readiness and request maintenance support as needed • Control and monitor usage of cleaning materials to minimize waste and misuse • Provide required assistance to cleaners during duty performance Safety and Compliance: • Ensure understanding of Environmental Health & Safety including OSHA, State, and Local Regulatory Compliance • Manage HAZMAT (Hazardous Material) Compliance and Environmental Compliance Initiatives • Maintain ISO Compliance while supporting Environmental Emergency Response • Ensure 100% Employee Safety Training Compliance with timely safety incident reporting and monitoring • Maintain "0" Recordable and Lost Workday Case Injuries Required Qualifications: • Previous management experience required • Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience • Ability to work in fast-paced manufacturing environment • Experience working in unionized environment • Strong organizational and management skills • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills • Ability to work overtime as needed Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with comprehensive sanitation programs in manufacturing environments • Knowledge of OSHA, State, and Local Regulatory Compliance requirements • Background in HAZMAT and Environmental Compliance Initiatives • Understanding of ISO Compliance and quality management systems • Experience with CMMS systems (Corrigo) for auditing and reporting • Knowledge of UAW policies and procedures in manufacturing settings Key Performance Indicators: • Safety Compliance and KPI Compliance • Route assignment and assessments in accordance with TIS • 100% equipment sign-out and inspection completion by assigned employees • Timely response to cleaning requests with zero safety incidents • Client Customer Satisfaction Survey results Location: Onsite - Claycomo, MO - Manufacturing Environment 2nd Shift Location: On-site -Claycomo, MO If this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply, even if you don't meet all the requirements.
