Oversee AV planning, setup, teardown, vendor management, and live event troubleshooting for 55-70 annual events. | Experience in AV technology and event production, strong organizational and troubleshooting skills, and ability to collaborate with diverse teams. | DescriptionPosition SummaryThe Event Services AV Tech Lead is responsible for overseeing all audiovisual aspects of events, ensuring seamless execution from planning through teardown. This role supports a wide range of events, from small VIP meetings to large-scale signature gatherings, and requires technical expertise, strong organizational skills, and the ability to troubleshoot in real time.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversee AV planning, setup and teardown for 55–70 annual events, ranging from small VIP meetings to large-scale signature gatherings (internal and external).Manage AV inventory, rentals, and vendor relationships.Collaborate and support presenters with slide formatting, embedded media, and rehearsals and testing.Lead onsite tech setup and live monitoring.Develop AV templates and SOPs for recurring event types.Train internal staff on basic AV troubleshooting and presentation tools.Stay updated on emerging tech (e.g., hybrid platforms, LED walls, wireless systems).Serve as onsite tech lead during events, troubleshooting issues in real time.Liaise with external AV vendors and venues to ensure compatibility and quality.Qualifications and Success FactorsThe ideal candidate will have experience in AV technology and event production, with a strong ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with diverse teams. Success in this role requires attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering high-quality event experiences.Work Environment:Position is eligible to work from home occasionally in accordance with Federation policies. When working from home, employee must:· Follow all Federation policies and procedures,· Be available to other employees during Federation’s normal business hours,· Not work from a public place (e.g., coffee shop, library, etc.) and/or join a public, insecure wi-fi network when working with sensitive or confidential information,· Coordinate with IT department to maintain appropriate computer equipment and connectivity.Pay Rate:In addition to benefits, the hourly rate range for this role begins at $26 per hour.
