Develop and implement workforce development programs, establish partnerships with workforce boards, conduct research, and provide technical assistance. | Experience in workforce development and partnership building, strong research and communication skills, project management ability, and a relevant bachelor's degree. | The Institute for Workplace Skills and Innovation America (IWSI America) partners with businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies to build stronger, more adaptable workforces. Through technical assistance and program design, IWSI helps organizations develop sustainable talent pipelines and meet evolving workforce needs. With a proven track record of launching over 20,000 skill-based careers, IWSI operates hands-on skills programs, including readywillingable.us and careerlaunchpad.org. Additionally, IWSI collaborates with the U.S. Forest Service to establish a national apprenticeship program for forestry technicians. Role Description This is a part-time, contract role for a Workforce Board Partnerships Consultant based in California. The consultant will work with workforce boards across the state to develop and implement workforce development programs, establish partnerships, and provide technical assistance. Key responsibilities include conducting research, developing reports, and collaborating with stakeholders to identify workforce needs and solutions. This is a hybrid role located in Irvine, CA, with the flexibility to work from home part of the time. Qualifications • Experience in workforce development, partnership building, and program implementation • Strong research, analytical, and report writing skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Project management skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively • Experience working with government agencies, nonprofits, or businesses in workforce-related roles is a plus • Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, Social Sciences, or a related field
