Lead software development projects including design, coding, testing, deployment, and mentoring within an agile team. | 4-7 years experience with NodeJS, JavaScript, SQL databases, API design, AWS, and related technologies, with ability to work independently and collaboratively. | Software Developer III to develop NodeJS, JavaScript, web and database applications that either consume data, act as a web application, or provide an endpoint/API for data access. What you will be doing: • Lead software development projects • Create estimates for software development projects • Collaborating with management, team and customers to identify end-user requirements and specifications • Designing algorithms and work flows to create new software programs and systems • Producing efficient and elegant code based on requirements • Testing and deploying programs and applications • Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining and improving existing software • Compiling and assessing user feedback to improve software performance • Observing user feedback to recommend improvements to existing software products • Developing technical documentation to guide future software development projects • Help with the Software Development Lifecycle, mentoring, providing assistance and guidance • Help respond to proposal requests (RFPs, RFIs, etc) • Help monitor customer systems and quickly resolve issues as they occur • Percentage of travel: 2% - Very infrequent, if at all, less than two weeks a year What you need to be successful in this role: • Four (4) year accredited technical degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience • Over four to seven (4-7) years of experience with build NodeJS server applications, responsive web design and programming, JavaScript, TypeScript, Sass, Angular, and a responsive framework such as Bootstrap • Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL or other SQL databases • Design and implementation of APIs and/or Endpoints • Must reside in the Continental USA. Preferably East or Central time zones. • Experience with database schema design, ingesting data and database access layers • Experience implementing map based web sites using MapBox, Google Maps, Apple Maps, and/or HERE • Native Mobile iOS and/or Android app development in Swift, Kotlin and/or Java • Python scripting language • Git version control system • Amazon Web Services experience:• Linux EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudFront, Amazon Connect, Amazon Lex, Amazon Polly • Experience with:• NGINX, Docker, Ansible, Grafana, Prometheus, Jira, Confluence, Scrum Iteris anticipates paying a base salary between $109,500 and $121,900 for this role. Assist with data collection, analysis, and execution of traffic signal retiming projects including coordination with agencies and technical reporting. | Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience, EIT certification, ability to work independently and in field, proficiency with Microsoft Office. | Iteris is seeking an Assistant Engineer - Traffic Operations to perform a variety of technical activities in support of traffic operations and data collection projects. The position will assist with the analysis, assessment, and interpretation of data, conditions, and systems to plan and execute traffic signal retiming improvements. The position will also require regular coordination with public agencies and consultants. Please note that while this position is remote within the state of PA, this role does require frequent travel to the Southeast Pennsylvania and Southwest New Jersey areas. What you will be doing: • Follow standard practice and procedures • Assist with collecting, analyzing, assessing, and interpreting data, conditions, and systems to plan and execute traffic signal retiming projects, covering the data collection phase through the project reporting phase • Develop and implement strategies for improving arterial traffic flow and safety, prepare the development of system performance measurement tools, standard operating policies/procedures, deficiency reports and mitigation plans, coordinate with local agencies related to the operation and maintenance of traffic signals and arterial systems • Provide technical support for our TSM&O performance monitoring platforms • Respond effectively to concerns related to traffic signal operations • Prepare correspondence and technical reports • Extensive local travel to conduct field work What you need to be successful in this role: • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (consideration will be given for equivalent experience) • Engineers In Training (EIT) required • Ability to work independently with a passion for traffic engineering and operations • Knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft's Excel and Word programs • Ability to work in field in Southeast Pennsylvania/Southwest New Jersey Iteris anticipates paying between $77,600 and $86,400 for this role.
