You will strategically craft and manage all content that communicates the profound impact of NSF-funded research and science discovery. This role is crucial for supporting leadership messaging and ensuring that our communications effectively engage a broad, diverse audience, including scientists, educators, students, and the general public.Writing and Posting Content You will own the strategic execution of NSF’s digital content, meticulously writing and managing posts tailored for platforms like X/Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram. Your primary focus will be maintaining brand consistency, ensuring every post rigorously adheres to the NSF’s official tone, strategic priorities, and messaging. Furthermore, you will be crucial during live agency events, providing real-time social media coverage to capture and immediately amplify key announcements and underscore NSF’s leadership role in science and discovery.Coordinate Social Media You will gather photos, videos, and graphics to support social storytelling, identify relevant hashtags and partner accounts, and collaborate with other agencies to ensure coordinated and impactful coverage of joint events.Realtime Social Media Management You will track online conversations and trending topics in real time, flagging potential reputational risks or opportunities for engagement, and providing timely guidance to NSF leadership and communications staff.Create Reports and Summaries After events, you will synthesize key outcomes and performance highlights into concise summaries, and work with analytics teams to assess reach, engagement, and audience response across platforms.Ensure all content follows Plain Language and clearance protocols You will ensure that all social media content is clear, accessible, and compliant with federal plain-language standards and NSF’s internal review and clearance processes.Primary ResponsibilitiesDraft, schedule, and publish platform-appropriate copy for Director and NSF accounts, including live event coverage.Collect multimedia, curate hashtags/handles, and coordinate with host agencies’ social teams for event coverage.Monitor social trends during events and advise leadership on emergent issues.Produce brief post-event summaries and coordinate with metrics analysts to produce engagement reports.Ensure all content follows Plain Language and clearance protocols.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Communications, Digital Media, or equivalent experience This educational background provides foundational skills in writing, media strategy, and audience engagement critical for crafting effective science communication across digital platforms.3 5 years social media management, content creation, and analytics experience Demonstrates the ability to plan, execute, and evaluate social media campaigns, ensuring NSF’s content reaches and resonates with target audiences while supporting strategic goals.Strong writing/editing, familiarity with major platforms’ best practices, and experience coordinating live coverage Ensures the candidate can produce timely, platform-appropriate content, manage real-time event coverage, and maintain editorial quality and consistency across fast-paced digital environments.Preferred QualificationsExperience managing executive-level social accounts and working with agency leadership Demonstrates the ability to craft high-visibility content that reflects the voice, priorities, and professionalism expected from NSF leadership, while navigating sensitive or strategic messaging.Familiarity with social listening and scheduling tools Supports proactive monitoring of public sentiment and efficient content planning, enabling timely responses to trends and streamlined publishing across platforms.DeliverablesContent Calendars Social media writers will be expected to develop and maintain editorial calendars that outline scheduled posts across platforms, aligned with NSF campaigns, events, and strategic priorities. These calendars should include post themes, target audiences, publishing times, and coordination notes to ensure consistent and timely messaging.Live-Event Posts During NSF-hosted or partner events, candidates will draft and publish real-time social media updates that highlight key moments, quotes, visuals, and audience engagement. These posts must be accurate, engaging, and tailored to each platform’s tone and format, often requiring coordination with multimedia teams and host agencies.Post-Event Summaries After events, candidates will produce concise summaries that capture the event’s highlights, key messages, and social media performance. These summaries support internal reporting and external communications, and may be used to inform future content planning or stakeholder briefings.Monthly Engagement Reports Candidates will collaborate with analytics teams to produce reports that track performance metrics such as reach, engagement, follower growth, and content effectiveness. This role requires 2 3 years of experience in enterprise asset management, with hands-on support for IFS software. The agent will provide advanced troubleshooting, manage service tickets, and ensure compliance with federal asset lifecycle policies. This position plays a critical role in maintaining system integrity, resolving escalated issues, and supporting end users across asset tracking, maintenance scheduling, and operational workflows. Candidates must be comfortable working in a high-availability environment, rotating shifts, and collaborating with federal stakeholders and technical teams. Asset Management Help Desk Agent key responsibilities will include: • Location preference: Orlando, FL area • Provide Tier 2/3 support for IFS Asset Management users, resolving complex issues related to asset records, maintenance workflows, and system performance. • Monitor and respond to service desk tickets within SLA timelines, escalating to engineering or IFS administrators as needed. • Maintain accurate asset data across acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and disposal stages. • Support integrations with telephony, case management, and reporting platforms. • Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and system updates in knowledge base articles. • Coordinate with federal teams to process asset transfers, exceptions, and compliance reviews. • Participate in after-hours support rotations and ensure continuity of operations across shifts. • Assist in onboarding/offboarding tasks, including asset assignment and system access provisioning. • Generate reports and dashboards to support performance tracking and audit readiness. • Identify recurring issues and recommend process or tool improvements to enhance service delivery.
