Supporting capital planning, financial reporting, and forecasting for the Irvine Company Apartments Division. | Requires 1-3 years of experience in finance or real estate, proficiency in Excel, and knowledge of SAP or similar systems. | Position Summary: The Financial Analyst supports the Capital Planning & Analysis team of the Irvine Company Apartments Division with capital budget request processing, financial reporting, planning, forecasting, and ad hoc analysis. Key Responsibilities: • Facilitates the preparation of capital budget request memos and supporting exhibits. • Provides project analytics, data validation and reporting for quarterly forecasts, annual budget, and long-term planning for Apartments Division capital investment. • Prepares recurring and ad-hoc capital spend/project-level reporting and analyses. • Maintains data integrity of project-level data within the Portfolio and Project Management System (PPM) on the SAP platform and associated Business Intelligence reporting data model. • Interprets and manipulates large datasets from multiple data sources in order to build financial models and reporting packages. Additional Skills: • Experience within corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, investment banking, public accounting, consulting, or commercial real estate preferred; multifamily experience a plus. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of database structures, financial modeling, Google Sheets, Tableau, Webi, and SAP experience a plus. Today, the Company’s real estate portfolio totals approximately 123M square feet, with a focus primarily on coastal California. Approximately 65% of the Company’s portfolio is in Orange County, with 35% in Silicon Valley, San Diego, West Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York City. The Company operates under a holding company structure with each of its four primary real estate operating divisions (Apartments, Office, Retail, and Community Development) functioning as wholly owned subsidiaries of the parent. While the parent provides strategic-level guidance and oversight, corporate services and support (IT, HR, Corporate Finance, Legal, Accounting, etc.), each division is staffed and managed as a fully functioning real estate operating company at scale. Although privately held, the Company is managed similarly to a public company, with strong corporate governance and executive management reporting to a board of directors. The Company is structured to operate in perpetuity. The Company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Intelligence & Threat Assessment Analyst to drive proactive, intelligence-led security within the Company’s Security Operations Center (SOC). This role is central to developing the Company’s enterprise Threat Assessment and Management (TATM) program, with the primary goal of protecting Company associates, customers, guests, and properties across the Company’s diverse portfolio. This position will report directly to the Senior Director, SOC, and will be based in the Division’s offices in Irvine, California. Key Responsibilities: • Threat Monitoring: Conduct real-time threat monitoring, detection, and analysis using open-source intelligence tools (OSINT) and other methods to protect Company associates, customers, guests, and properties • Investigation Management: Manage investigations and case files related to threats targeting the Company, its associates, customers, guests, or properties; act as a liaison with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, supporting investigations and intelligence sharing • Data Analysis: Analyze crime data and identify trends in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to map and mitigate risks • Security Strategy: Develop security strategies, mitigation plans (for events/protests), and recommend enhancements (e.g., CPTED) to Corporate Security and Company leaders • Reporting: Produce situational reports (SITREPs), trend reports, threat assessments, and dashboards, and brief Company leaders on risks and recommendations Additional Skills: • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in OSINT, social monitoring tools, data analytics, visualization software, and incident/dispatch management systems • Analytical & Critical Thinking Skills: Proven ability to synthesize and distill diverse, complex, and large volume information from disparate sources to identify and assess relevant risks and threats • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for reporting to diverse Company stakeholders • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively and build trust with both internal and external stakeholders Preferred Education: • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Criminal Justice, Intelligence Studies, Data Analytics, Security Management, Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Preferred Years of Relevant Work Experience: • 4+ years of experience in corporate security, public safety, or military intelligence • 4+ years of experience working in a SOC, real-time crime or intelligence center, fusion center, dispatch center, threat management unit, or crime analysis unit preferred Additional Requirements: • Relevant professional certificates or certifications are preferred (e.g., Certified Threat Intelligence Analyst (CTIA); Certified Threat Manager (CTM); Criminal Intelligence Certified Analyst (CICA); CSULB / CSUF Crime & Intelligence Analysis Certificates) • Proficiency in data programming (e.g., SQL, Python, R) is desirable Compensation: Base Pay Range: $120,500.00 - $158,500.00 Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. Bid, negotiate and prepare for all services and projects, and work directly with Reinvestment, Project Management and Landscape Management to schedule and initiate capital projects. Coordinates hazardous material abatement, and completes related paperwork and contract administration duties. • Promote positive resident relations and be aware of conditions that could impact our ability to maintain a quality living environment for residents. Responsible for proactive and reactive communication with residents regarding customer service concerns or initiatives. Review NPS, Yelp Reviews and Corrigo reports regularly to identify top concerns, communicate and implement improvement plans through service team. Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations: • Valid California driver’s license; Maintain continuous vehicle liability insurance as required by state law.
