Manage sourcing, procurement, and material planning for server components, coordinating between HQ in Taiwan and factory operations in Mexico to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency. | 5+ years procurement and material planning experience in server or electronics industries, vendor management, ERP proficiency, English and Mandarin language skills, and willingness to travel to Mexico. | About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Material & Procurement Buyer to manage the sourcing and material planning of server components for our server business. This role is critical in ensuring the timely availability of components, cost efficiency, and seamless coordination between our HQ in Taiwan and factory operations in Mexico. Necessary travel to Mexico is expected to support material supply coordination and production alignment. Key Responsibilities • Manage material planning and supply for server and rack integration components. • Manage procurement for local packaging material. • Work closely with HQ in Taiwan to align sourcing strategies, supplier selection, and global procurement policies. • Partner with factory teams in Mexico to ensure timely delivery, optimal inventory levels, and production support. • Identify, evaluate, and maintain supplier relationships to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and reliability. • Negotiate supplier contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve cost savings while maintaining high standards. • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams to meet material requirements. • Monitor supplier performance, manage risks, and implement corrective actions as needed. • Utilize ERP and its expended systems to manage material flow and procurement processes. • Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize material availability, reduce lead times, and improve supply chain efficiency. • Coordinate cross-functional material and procurement activities. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. • 5+ years of experience in procurement and material planning, preferably in server, IT hardware, or electronics industries. • Proven experience with vendor management, contract negotiation, and supplier development. • Hands-on experience with ERP and procurement systems. • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills across cultures and time zones. • Willingness and ability to travel to Mexico. • Language skills: • English – must • Mandarin – must • Spanish – a plus Preferred Skills • Experience handling server components. • Knowledge of global supply chain practices and cross-border operations. • Professional certifications (CPSM, CPIM) are a plus. • Prior experience working with teams in Asia and North America.
