Position Overview The Healthcare Strategy Director is responsible for driving the strategic growth, market leadership, and commercial success of one of the company’s most critical market segments — Healthcare. This role positions Interface as the preferred provider of high-performance, sustainable flooring solutions for healthcare environments, ensuring profitable growth and long-term partnerships across the United States. The Healthcare Strategy Director will provide visionary leadership, define market strategies, and collaborate across functions to deliver measurable business outcomes and strengthen Interface’s brand presence in the healthcare sector. Market Segment Definition The Healthcare segment includes all new construction, renovation, and remodeling projects for: • Hospitals and medical centers • Outpatient and ambulatory surgery centers • Physician and specialist offices • Nursing homes, assisted living, and long-term care facilities • VA and military hospitals and clinics Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Planning • Develop and execute a comprehensive healthcare market segment strategy aligned with Interface’s corporate growth objectives. • Partner with Regional Sales Directors to achieve revenue, margin, and market share goals while maintaining disciplined budget management. • Deliver actionable market intelligence, customer insights, and competitive analyses to guide product innovation and marketing initiatives. • Define and monitor key performance metrics to track progress, identify opportunities, and drive accountability across the segment. Business Development & Customer Engagement • Drive year-over-year sales growth and expand Interface’s presence across all healthcare flooring categories. • Build and sustain relationships with key decision-makers, including hospital administrators, facilities executives, architects, designers, and contractors. • Protect and grow Top Accounts, ensuring strong retention, recurring revenue, and long-term partnerships. • Champion Interface’s brand and value proposition within the healthcare design and construction community. Team Collaboration & Sales Enablement • Collaborate with Account Executives, Regional Sales Directors, and Area Vice Presidents to foster a cohesive, high-performing sales strategy for the healthcare market. • Mentor and coach sales teams to strengthen healthcare-specific expertise, consultative selling skills, and value-based selling approaches. • Partner with Strategic Marketing to develop targeted tools, presentations, and campaigns tailored to healthcare customers. • Leverage national and local GPO contracts and health system agreements to capture and expand market share. Market Presence & Industry Advocacy • Represent Interface at key industry conferences, trade shows, and healthcare design events. • Build partnerships with healthcare associations, sustainability organizations, and professional networks to enhance Interface’s influence. • Serve as a thought leader on topics such as infection control, acoustic performance, design trends, and compliance in healthcare interiors. Operational Excellence • Utilize Salesforce CRM for pipeline management, strategic account planning, and performance tracking. • Analyze market and sales data to make informed, data-driven business decisions. • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless alignment between sales, marketing, and product strategy. Qualifications & Experience • Minimum 5 years of sales or business development experience, preferably within commercial interiors, building materials, or the healthcare construction industry. • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Design, or a related field preferred. • Demonstrated success selling into the North American healthcare construction and renovation market. • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans, build relationships, and negotiate at executive levels. • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. • Experience leading, mentoring, or developing sales teams. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Salesforce CRM experience preferred. • Residence within the assigned region and willingness to travel domestically up to 60%. Interface is looking for a strategic seller who can connect our story and products to customers, find creative solutions, and work collaboratively with a dynamic sales team. The Account Executive will build advocacy for nora by Interface rubber flooring systems with A&D, end users & dealers/flooring contractors, to grow key market segments, which include but are not limited to healthcare, education, and industry (biotech, pharmaceuticals, etc.). This individual will find and capitalize project opportunities and build, sustain, and grow annuity accounts to drive year-over-year sales growth in their territory. This position will be based in Utah and will cover the states of Utah, Idaho and Montana. Essential duties: Work and collaborate in a team environment to grow Interface business across all key market segments and product lines Develop new and grow existing relationships to drive specifications with established assigned key end users and A&D firms and develop business with other high potential end users and A&D firms Learn the nora by Interface sales process for each of the key market segments. Learn nora by Interface flooring systems and their value and practical use within the key market segments. Learn and leverage nora by Interface pricing strategy. Build designer and user advocacy for nora by Interface rubber as well as the entire portfolio of Interface products within the key market segments. Work with regional counterparts and territory teammates to identify and close cross-selling opportunities. Lead and collaborate with teammates on negotiations. Identify and remove barriers to closing the sale. Identify, develop, and bring to order project opportunities using the influence of A&D firms, end users and dealer contacts. Leverage sales support resources provided: Regional Sales Directors, Key Account Directors (Regional, Healthcare, Industry), Global Account Directors, Sales Support Coordinators, Technical and Maintenance specialists, and other internal functional support teams. Grow the number of specifications year over year within the key market segments. Build and sustain a smart dealer environment within the territory supported by Regional Sales Director and other sales supports. Execute the following administrative related duties in a timely manner, as per Regional Sales Director, Area Vice President, and Human Resources: Provide accurate and timely sales reports and forecasts Manage all expenses within budget set and submit expense reports. Leverage Salesforce CRM to manage business activities and maximize efficiency. Educational requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational background is preferred Skills and experience: Prefer at least three years of sales experience, or equivalent industry experience (commercial sales within the construction or interiors space desired) Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial drive Desire to work within a team environment Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent presentation skills, including virtual presenting Ability to plan and prioritize independent work schedule Work Environment: Frequent Lifting up to 40 lbs. The SSC will be responsible for key internal-facing activities to help improve sales force effectiveness and maximize the selling team’s performance.
