The Manager is responsible for the operational leadership and on-site oversight of the EmPATH and IPAC (walk-in clinic) programs across two locations. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care by supervising clinical teams, maintaining program fidelity, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Program Manager collaborates closely with providers, physicians, and system leadership to address barriers to care, enhance performance, and support staff development. In addition to managing daily operations, the Program Manager leads efforts in program development, performance monitoring, and fiscal stewardship, ensuring both programs align with organizational goals and behavioral health best practices. Manager Behavioral Health Ambulatory Job Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations of EmPATH (Emergency Psychiatric Assessment Treatment and Healing) and IPAC (Inova Psychiatric Assessment Center) , ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality psychiatric care and adherence to program standards. Provide clinical supervision and support to EmPATH therapists and professional development guidance to IPAC team members. Lead hiring, onboarding, and training of staff to maintain a skilled and compassionate workforce aligned with behavioral health best practices. Monitor and enhance program fidelity to the EmPATH model, ensuring alignment with evidence-based practices and system-wide goals. Drive strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives for both programs, including workflow optimization, patient experience, and clinical outcomes. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement business strategies that support census management, throughput, and access to care. Maintain strong provider and physician relations to address barriers to satisfaction, performance, and patient care coordination. Analyze performance metrics and patient data to inform decision-making and Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and organizational policies. Partner with the Behavioral Health Director to foster cross-departmental collaboration and operational efficiency. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Master's Degree Experience: Minimum of five years’ experience post-master’s degree in counseling and therapy with children, adolescents, adults and families. Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association. Licensure: LCSW, LPC or licensed Clinical Psychologist Preferred Qualifications: 2 years post-licensure experience 3 years supervisory/management experience. Ability to foster innovation and drive strategic initiatives that improve patient care, access, and system efficiency. Experience in business operations, including budgeting/productivity management, staffing, performance metrics, and workflow optimization. The Epic Certified Systems Analyst - Grand Central maintains and implements EpicCare systems and databases to ensure optimum performance of automated systems. Manages IT projects/products in order to provide automated solutions that meet Inova Health System's business needs using the EpicCare system. Communicates project and team status to internal/external audiences to keep project team informed. Maintains Epic applications while facilitating updates, new releases and system enhancements. Participates in system technical and application reviews to determine feasibility, cost and evaluate usefulness for Inova. Epic Certified Systems Analyst - Grand Central Responsibilities: Maintains and implements EpicCare systems and databases to ensure optimum performance of automated systems. Participates in all phases of review and testing of new Epic application releases. Assists in conducting system investigations to determine general feasibility, cost and alternative system solutions as well as potential system enhancements. Serves as an applications support contact, as needed, to troubleshoot problems while incorporating end users preferences, desired reports and collecting other relative information to optimize the Epic experience. Analyzes business operations as they relate to build decisions. Ensures that data coming across an interface into an Epic application meets business needs. Resolves problems, communicates status and escalates issues to management in a timely manner. Analyzes IT processes and stays up to date on current programming tools/methodologies. Participates in ongoing maintenance of major systems while following all Change Management procedures. Determines new procedures for maximizing the benefits achieved through the use of automated systems. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Associate’s degree; or HS Diploma/GED and 2 years relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience required Experience: 1 year of healthcare administration experience Certification: Epic certification or proficiency in Grand Central required or attained within six months of hire Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience supporting the Epic Grand Central module preferred.
