This role ensures effective lead management, drives sales of bank products and services, and maintains a healthy lending pipeline aligned with departmental and organizational goals. The manager is accountable for performance, productivity, and quality while fostering a high-performing, customer-focused sales environment. Duties and Responsibilities: • Deliver consistent, effective coaching and development to team members to achieve established departmental and team objectives, including consumer lending production, sales performance, quality standards, cross-sell growth, and the delivery of Simply the Best customer service. • Implement, communicate, and enforce policies, procedures, and updates related to products, services, and technologies; design and oversee sales contests, team incentives, and recognition programs to drive performance and engagement. • Assess organizational impact and select the most effective communication methods to ensure clarity, alignment, and timely dissemination of information. • Ensure team compliance with all corporate policies, risk management guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements. • Build, strengthen, and maintain productive relationships with key business partners and internal stakeholders. • Lead talent management decisions including hiring and termination, administration of performance improvement plans, salary adjustments, and setting the overall strategic vision and direction of the team. • Support department-wide onboarding and training efforts for new hires to accelerate readiness and performance. • Manage the most complex customer relationships, accounts, and lending portfolios within the team. • Oversee team workload to ensure production volumes and quality metrics meet or exceed Huntington’s established standards. • Collaborate closely with Essential Partners to proactively support customer needs and enhance the overall client experience. • Maintain current knowledge of consumer lending products, services, technology platforms, and regulatory requirements. • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. • Foster, promote, and sustain a positive, inclusive team culture aligned with Huntington’s core values and business objectives. Manage and develop a high-performing sales team focused on merchant/receivables solutions, build partnerships, and drive sales growth. | Minimum of 8 years successful sales management experience in financial institutions, with knowledge of payments industry and CRM tools. | Description Summary: Responsible for managing a high-performing sales team that works closely with branches and business banking partners to execute on effective sales strategies that are focused on the regional/business banking channel and driving higher primacy in the customer base. This includes delivering revenue targets according to sales plan, providing accurate, timely and consistent sales reporting, coaching, developing, and motivating the sales staff, facilitating market meetings, driving client-deal closures, ensuring successful participation in the branch/business banking ecosystem at all management levels, maintaining policies and procedures according to audit guidelines and create new COI/referral partners, while supporting an environment of diversity and inclusion for peers and employees across the bank. Duties and Responsibilities: • Build and manage a successful merchant/receivables sales team. This includes recruiting, hiring, coaching, and training/developing direct reports. • Accurately manage the customer relationship management (CRM) process for sales management (sales funnel, close rates, win/loss learnings, sales incentives) and drive merchant/receivable product primacy with regional bank lending and deposit customers. • Provide expertise in the payments (merchant/receivables) industry. Bring strong knowledge of merchant buying behavior and map sales process towards a high-win sales-experience. • Evangelize merchant/receivables product and cross-educate and train partners. • Forge partnerships with internal (specifically Regional/Business Banking teams) and external channel partners to grow sales. • Partner seamlessly with merchant product and service teams to create the best support system for our employees and clients. • Participate in regular DE&I and community activities at both the team and leadership level. • Drive high-growth client outcomes by focusing on/driving a positive client-sales experience, driving sales pipeline, and helping close deals, attending client and prospect meetings, as well as joint sales calls with direct reports. • Develop new channels for prospecting including centers of influence (COI) and referral partners. Source and onboard COI/referral partners to drive new sources of leads. • Performs other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree • Minimum of 8 years proven successful sales management experience in financial institution, with an emphasis on the payments industry. Compensation Range: The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
