Plan, execute, and communicate program management efforts for business units ensuring alignment, resource optimization, and governance compliance. | Bachelor's degree, 8-12 years experience including 1+ year in technology program management with SaaS emphasis, project management certification, strong analytical and communication skills, and ability to work globally. | We are seeking a Program Manager to join our PMO team and own program and project management efforts for specified business unit(s). This individual will be responsible for planning, and consistent execution within a budget and with minimal disruptions. Based out of Canada or the US (in accordance to provinces/states we can hire in legally), the Program Manager will report to the Director of Program Management focused on Delivery. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Program Planning: • Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines for each priority. • Promote communication across cross-functional teams to ensure alignment during the planning phase. • Continuously review and adjust plans as needed to accommodate changes in scope, resources, or priorities. Program Execution: • Monitor resource utilization and capacity within the assigned area, identifying potential bottlenecks and recommending adjustments as needed. • Maintain tools and processes for tracking resource availability, commitments, and overall capacity. • Work with the Program Area Process and/or Technical Owner(s) to support testing and rollout strategies for operational projects. • Help establish clear communication channels between program management, execution team and relevant stakeholders to promote transparency and alignment. • Share insights and lessons learned from previous projects to improve overall delivery processes. Program Communication & Coordination • Facilitate communication with cross-functional stakeholders to support alignment during planning and delivery. • Keep key stakeholders informed of progress against critical milestones • Collaborate with program leadership and business stakeholders on change management activities to support implementation of priorities Data Analysis: • Collect and analyze relevant data and recommend improvements within projects • Develop and present regular reports highlighting key insights and providing actionable recommendations for course correction. Governance: • Help maintain standardized processes and guidelines for program management within the assigned area. • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with established governance policies and identify areas for improvement. • Provide ongoing training and support to team members in the adoption of best practices for planning and execution. WHAT YOU’LL NEED: • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or related discipline. • 8-12 years overall experience required to include at least 1 year proven experience and demonstrated success in technology program management with an emphasis on SaaS Enterprise technologies or equivalent combination of education and experience • Experience managing initiatives in Business Operations, Business Technology and similar programs in a SaaS organization • Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail. • Strong organizational and prioritizing skills with ability to multi-task • Current SA, SM or Project Management certification required. • Pursuing advanced Project Management certifications a plus (CSP, ACP, SA, PMP). • Strong communication ability, verbally and written, with both management and technical audiences at all levels. • Experience with project management tooling • Ability to work with a global team required • Strategic thinking required. • Thought leadership required. You will lead Hootsuite’s global Professional Services organization, developing and executing a high-impact services strategy that directly drives customer retention, renewal performance, and revenue expansion potential.
