Your day to day * Take ownership of the successful implementation and delivery of new features and projects using a variety of modern languages and frameworks such as Golang, TypeScript, React, and PostgreSQL * Actively participate in system architecture discussions and technical design reviews to ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of the Happy Returns system * Enforce clean code and excellent coding practices by conducting thoughtful code reviews * Learn from senior engineers, contribute to knowledge-sharing sessions, and continuously expand your technical and problem-solving skills as you grow into more complex projects * Collaborate with Product Managers to translate business goals into technical outcomes * Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, debugging, testing, and documentation workflows. * Support the health and stability of our systems through thoughtful testing, monitoring, and debugging so we can achieve our mission of making returns beautiful for Shoppers, Retailers, and the Planet The ideal candidate will have.... * 1-3 years of experience in full stack web application development * Experience designing, implementing, and testing REST APIs * The ability to efficiently ship clean, maintainable, and well-tested code * A strong interest in joining a highly collaborative environment and working daily with Product Managers, DevOps, and QA Engineers * You’re curious and adaptable, always ready to explore new technologies, and introduce tools that make the team more effective. * A self-starter mindset with the ability to learn independently and thrive in a fully remote work environment Bonus points if you have.... * Experience with server-side languages such as Go or Python * Proficiency in a modern JavaScript framework such as React * Familiarity with database technology such as PostgreSQL, and Dynamo DB. * Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS * Interest in e-commerce, logistics, and/or sustainability  This is a fully remote position and is not limited to candidates located in Georgia EEO Statement    Integrated into our shared values is Happy Returns’ commitment to diversity. Collaborate on and deploy secure, scalable AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools, and maintain operational monitoring and deployment tooling. | At least one year of Infrastructure as Code experience, proficiency in a programming language, and knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Git, AWS, CI/CD tools, and databases. | DEVOPS ENGINEER  Remote Role YOUR WAY TO IMPACT We’re not solving a small problem, and we’re not addressing a small market. YOUR DAY TO DAY * Collaborate on and deploy cloud infrastructure on AWS using infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi) that is secure, scalable, and highly available * Actively collaborate with software engineering to define infrastructure, build, release and deployment tooling * Collaborate with information security for requirements and integration with security and compliance tooling * Troubleshoot problems across a wide array of services and function areas * Build and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring, and analysis of AWS infrastructure and systems to ensure availability, performance, security, and scalability * Provide recommendations for architecture and process improvements * Help us build and maintain a world class technology system so we can achieve our mission of making returns beautiful for Shoppers, Retailers, and the Planet WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING * At least 1 year of experience in designing, provisioning and maintaining infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code * Experience in code development in at least one high-level programming language * Knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized applications * Proficiency working with a cloud provider (preferably AWS) * Proficiency with Docker, Git and software development processes for deploying applications * Understanding of/familiarity with using Github Actions (or similar) to build, test and release software * Familiarity with database technology such as PostgreSQL or MySQL * Previous experience using cloud observability platforms such as DataDog or NewRelic * A strong interest in joining a highly collaborative environment and working daily with Product Managers and Engineers * Interest in e-commerce, logistics and/or sustainability * Comfort with leveraging the latest available AI-powered tools (IDEs, agents, automated reviewers) to accelerate and assist with daily development, debugging, and technical tasks This is a fully remote position and is not limited to candidates located in Georgia EEO Statement    Integrated into our shared values is Happy Returns’ commitment to diversity.
