Lead testing of storage features, develop test strategies, build automation frameworks, and collaborate to ensure product quality. | 8-10+ years experience with NFS/SMB protocols, multiple OS, test automation, shell scripting, and Python. | We are seeking a seasoned Senior Software QA Engineer with experience in testing Storage, Filesystems, distributed systems and Protocols (NFS, SMB). Responsibilities: Lead the testing of Storage features by participating in product design and building test strategies through hands-on testing and automation Review feature designs and provide feedback to the development team to improve product quality and testability Devise test strategies to find product vulnerabilities through cross-functional, system and stress testing Work closely with developers to understand new and existing features, bug fixes and develop test cases for new features and regression testing Collaborate with the tools team to develop test automation for different product features Interface and work with the Customer Support team to understand customer issues, reproduce them in-house and debug them Work remotely with a global team, communicating effectively via Slack, Zoom, Email, Confluence and Jira. Qualifications: Hands-on experience working on NFS/SMB protocols, Windows or/and Linux Must have experience in Multiple operating systems: Linux/Windows/VMWare Strong knowledge of release management and testing lifecycle. Experience building test pipelines & infrastructure from a QA Engineer perspective Working knowledge of NAS File system testing Software test development experience with shell scripting, Python Experience with packet capture tools like wireshark and tcpdump Experience writing and executing complex system level test plans, test cases and test reports Track record of being a key contributor in successful projects Strong oral and written communication skills, with a strong quality background BS in Computer Science with 10+ years of experience or MS in Computer Science with 8+ years of experience Additional Desired Skills: Familiarity with Windows Server and Active Directory administration Pay range and compensation package: The anticipated base salary range for this role is $160,000 to $220,000. Actual compensation will be determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional/education experience, skills/abilities, internal equity, location and budgetary considerations. Provide L3/L4 technical support to customers and collaborate with internal teams to improve products and knowledge base. | 8+ years in customer support within data storage or management, with proficiency in networking protocols, filesystems, and diagnostics. | Hammerspace is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Support Engineer for the West Coast, who will ensure the overall success and retention of our customer base in the West and Asia. The ideal candidate will have excellent troubleshooting skills coupled with a deep understanding of filesystems, storage and networking. The Customer Support Engineer will engage with our customers to understand and resolve their complex technical issues, leveraging their strong technical acumen and stellar communication skill Responsibilities Provide Hammerspace customers with top-tier support by solving their L3/L4 technical issues in a timely fashion Willingness to work "3rd shift" when needed, to cover Asia as well as the west coast. Partner with sales, product & engineering to ensure that customer’s needs are met Prioritize and drive resolution for escalated customer issues Provide feedback to product and engineering teams on product gaps and opportunities for improvement Document systematic learnings so that they can be leveraged in our Customer Knowledge Base Leverage current toolsets and cross functional team members to creatively identify and resolve customer technical issues Participate in team ceremonies to ensure proper knowledge sharing, team growth and iteration on our support processes Qualifications 8+ years in a customer support role (Must have L3/L4 experience), with experience working in cloud, storage, networking environments. Candidates MUST have experience working for a Data Storage or Data Management company.
