Lead execution of enterprise sustainability framework integrating net zero goals into business operations with cross-functional collaboration. | 10+ years in sustainability, operations, or transformation with leadership influence and a bachelor's degree required. | Overview This role partners across the enterprise to co-create and execute Gilbane’s sustainability framework, ensuring alignment with business strategy, operating models, and long-term value creation. The Senior Manager will integrate sustainability into core business processes, driving measurable outcomes and accelerating progress toward net zero goals. ***This position can be performed from any U.S. location where Gilbane has an office.*** Who are we? Responsibilities Lead execution of the enterprise sustainability framework, embedding sustainability into operations, project delivery, and corporate functions Translate sustainability strategy and commitments into actionable business practices aligned with Gilbane’s operating model and governance structures Drive cross-functional collaboration across operations, IT, finance, legal, supply chain, and corporate teams to ensure integrated delivery Own value realization by ensuring sustainability initiatives deliver measurable business impact, performance transparency, and risk reduction Lead execution of net zero roadmap including energy, carbon (Scopes 1, 2, and 3), water, and waste initiatives Identify and remove structural and process barriers to implementation, advancing scalable solutions Sponsor key transformation initiatives and ensure disciplined, risk-managed execution Align internal execution with external reporting and disclosure requirements (e.g., CDP, GRESB, EcoVadis, SBTi) Leadership & Organizational Impact Build, lead, and develop high-performing teams and cross-functional working groups Foster an inclusive and engaging work environment that motivates and develops talent Coach and develop employees, strengthening organizational capability and succession readiness Translate enterprise strategy into clear expectations, priorities, and performance outcomes Influence senior stakeholders and support enterprise governance and decision-making forums Key Competencies Strategic Mindset – Applies a broad, enterprise perspective to drive long-term performance and opportunity Business Insight – Leverages market, operational, and financial insights to inform decision-making Emotional Intelligence – Builds strong relationships and navigates complexity effectively Team Accountability – Drives performance through clear expectations, measurement, and follow-through Coaching & Development – Develops talent and builds organizational capability Qualifications Significant experience leading enterprise or cross-functional initiatives within a complex organization Demonstrated success translating strategy into operational execution 10+ years’ experience in sustainability, operations, transformation, or related fields preferred Proven ability to influence senior leadership and drive alignment across teams Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong understanding of sustainability topics including carbon, energy, water, waste, and net zero strategies Excellent project, program, and change management capabilities Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all organizational levels Ability to navigate and improve existing systems and processes Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Sustainability-related certifications preferred This position can be performed from any U.S. location where Gilbane has an office. Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team. The pay ranges from $125,000.00-$220,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program. Gilbane offers an excellent total compensation package which includes competitive health and welfare benefits and a generous profit-sharing/401k plan.
