What You’ll Be Challenged To Do As a Sr. Project Manager, Transportation, you will be responsible for roadway, municipal, transit, and aviation clients while also providing effective and efficient management of day-to-day operations within the transportation team. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: • Maintain a close working relationship with all discipline leads, department heads, other project managers, project controls staff, and construction personnel. • Oversee and manage the overall engineering and design and delivery on both conventional and design-build projects for roads and highway. • Maintain a high level of technical quality on the projects. • Take an active role in identifying new business and participate in the proposal process, and remaining involved to technical and client oversight on throughout the life of the project. • Identify new opportunities by leveraging professional network in the region and assist in growing the business. • Mentor project staff and participate in the hiring process. • Serve as a functional manager for an engineering team, responsible for career development and performance reviews. • Provide technical expertise, ensuring the highest quality of engineering is put forth to meet all design criteria requirements. Education | Experience: What You Will Bring To Our Firm • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering related technical field. • At least 15+ years of design and project management delivery experience on heavy transportation infrastructure projects. • Experience meeting operational business goals, client management, win strategies, and bid preparation. • Must have a proven track record of successful delivery for road/highway projects according to TxDOT standards – conventional and design/build project execution. • Professional Engineering License in the State of Texas Required. What We Prefer You Bring • Proven ability to bring in new business and win projects. Compensation The salary range for this role is $170,000 - $210,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location. What You’ll Be Challenged To Do This position will be primarily responsible for ensuring all certified payroll report submissions are in accordance with federal/state requirements, while working as part of the payroll team. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: • Implement company procedures for monitoring wage compliance and reporting. • Prepare and submit weekly Certified Payroll reports for jobs covered under the California Department of Industrial relations and Non-DIR jobs via DIR website and software such as LCP Tracker, Elation, etc. • Adjust certified payroll records as needed. • Review, submit and maintain certified payroll reports, as both the contractor and subcontractor, for compliance. This includes verifying hours worked, checking and maintaining the prevailing wage rates, craft classifications, fringe benefit rates, and fringe benefit statements. • Collect, review, analyze records and support documents for inaccuracies, errors, deficiencies, incompleteness, etc. • Issue requests for missing and revised documentation. • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders. • Perform other duties as assigned and/or requested, including assisting with U.S. and Canadian payroll processing, including data entry, following up with employees and other miscellaneous tasks needed to complete the payroll process. • Assist with special projects as needed. • Provide data to other departments as needed, including assisting with internal and external audits. Education | Experience: What You Will Bring To Our Firm • 2+ years of experience with non-union Certified Payroll Reporting within the construction industry is required. • Associate or bachelor’s degree required or a high school diploma with equivalent relevant experience. • Experience with Caltrans or other California certified payroll. • Knowledge of federal and state labor laws, prevailing wage requirements, and certified payroll regulations. • Detail oriented with the ability to multitask and deal with changing priorities throughout the workday, as well as maintain confidentiality. • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) experience. • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships both within and outside of GFT. • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote and/or office environment. What We Prefer You Bring • Experience with Deltek VantagePoint, or other accounting software. • Familiarity with LCP Tracker and Elation. • Prior experience working with engineering and/or architecture firms.
