About Department 705 Department 705 is an integral part of Electric Boat's Planning Yard businesses. With this business, Electric Boat supports mission-ready submarines assigned to the Pacific Northwest through engineering, integrated logistics support, and configuration management. Additionally, D705 is responsible for the management and execution of design and build projects for submarine support facilities and equipment for the principal Navy commands at Bangor, WA, and Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. Role Overview This position reports to the Site Engineering Manager at Bangor, WA in the Life Cycle Support Directorate and will be fully responsible for management of GD/EB Planning Yard (PY) contract work at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Trident Refit Facility, Bangor (PSNS & TRFB) Site Offices. The Program Supervisor will serve as a GD/EB focal point for all navy activities and other contractors that support EB in connection with the PSNS & TRF Bangor site operation. Lead and manage a software development team to design, develop, and implement customized software solutions, including planning, budgeting, mentoring, and reporting to upper management. | Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field, minimum 5 years leadership experience in software development, familiarity with agile and devops methodologies, and strong communication and organizational skills. | The Information Technology (IT) Software Engineering Group (SEG) supervisor will lead a group of software developers responsible for design, development and implementation of customized software solutions across Electric Boat’s business systems. This role will support software development for both the Digital Enterprise program and the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) program. The supervisor candidate requires experience in requirements and systems analysis responsibilities which include overall coordination and technical management of software development activities. Perform financial audits of supplier proposals including cost element evaluation and assist in negotiations to ensure fair pricing. | Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Math, 0-10 years experience, ability to travel, and proficiency in Microsoft Office; preferred experience in cost accounting, FAR, CAS, and government contracting. | Overview Financial Analyst positions are available within the Subcontract Audit group of Program Finance at Electric Boat. The Subcontract Audit analyst performs financial audits of supplier proposals. This includes fact finding fieldwork at the supplier's facility which requires occasional travel (about 10-25%). The analysis includes the evaluation of each cost element supporting the supplier's proposal. Cost elements include: man-hours, labor rates, material, indirect rates and other direct costs. Auditors develop a clear set of work papers and produce an audit report which will assist Materials Management in negotiating a fair and reasonable price with the supplier. Auditors may also assist in the negotiations. In addition to performing the audits, analysts will perform financial conditional analyses of select suppliers, price analyses, and special projects as required.
