You will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering AI/ML solutions that enable faster decision-making, enhanced situational awareness, and improved operational readiness. • Lead/Manage/Support the development of AI/ML architectures for fleet operations, cyber defense, and logistics, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance with DoD standards. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams-including data scientists, systems engineers, and enterprise architects-to translate complex requirements into robust, deployable solutions. • Drive key outcomes such as reduced data processing times, increased predictive accuracy, and accelerated AI model deployment across command networks. • Utilize cutting-edge technologies such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Kubernetes, and secure multi-party computation to meet the Navy's and Marine Corps' stringent security and performance requirements. The AI Engineer Sr Principal must have: Education: Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, or another STEM field. Experience: 10+ years of related experience AI/ML engineering, solution architecture, and system integration, with a proven track record in defense or federal government environments. Technical skills: • Proficiency in AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn). • Strong background in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and container orchestration (Kubernetes). • Experience with secure data pipelines, encryption, and compliance with DoD security controls. • Ability to develop and present AI proposals, including feasibility studies, cost estimates, and implementation roadmaps. Security clearance level: Eligibility for TOP SECRET/SCI with an active SECRET clearance at a minimum ship required Role requirements: • Excellent consultative selling skills; ability to engage stakeholders, identify new opportunities, and articulate the value of AI/ML solutions. • Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to distill complex requirements into actionable deliverables and guide multidisciplinary teams. • Willingness to travel (up to 25%) and work on-site at Navy/Marine Corps facilities as needed. The likely salary range for this position is $140,250 - $189,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
