Her/His field of intervention is linked to project strategy defined by Project Manager.Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities:Manage global time schedule of concerned engineering activities, check coherency of links between engineering activities and other project functions activities (procurement, construction, commissioning) and organize follow up of critical activities of the project or of his/her discipline.Responsible for issuing consolidation of provisional drawing list of the project or of his/her work package, integrating submission dates.Plan and manage delivery time of technical interfaces with his/her work package, put in place exchange interface sheets with partners, customer, and third-party contractors.Ensure on-time delivery of design to stakeholders with suitable quality including Partner documents anticipate and mitigate delivery issues of concerned activities.Manage time schedule for his/her work package engineering activities in close collaboration with the planner.He/she is responsible for relevant co-engineering sessions with other disciplines, main partners, and key suppliers.Ensure the transverse technical coordination between the parties.Ensure proper global design freeze.Follow the division of responsibility matrix and understand the limits of supply.Coordinate technical interfaces between project partners (internal and external).Manage and harmonize the technical documentation.Supports and participates to continuous improvement actions for a better engineering efficiency, delivers documents on time and with the requested quality.Ensure that a proper technical risk analysis is conducted in case of innovation.Manage the planning interface of engineering milestones between partners.Lead and coordinate design teams.Follow the engineering budget and identify potential savings and highlight to Project manager all motivated situation requiring extra budget.Manage design workload plan.Participate and contribute to the project multidisciplinary design reviews according to the procedures and the project strategy.Organize and manage disciplinary design reviews.Participate to project strategy elaboration with PM.Analyze customer technical requirements, prepare and or consolidate clause by clause analysis and ensure compliance to Customer requirements through technical queries, identify, track, manage potential exceptions.Manage customer comments.Request/attend Customer technical meetings when needed/upon request.Coordinate with partners regarding customer technical comments on their scope.Validate design throughout customer acceptance.Prepare or review technical specifications and supplier's documents to enable procurement of materials and substation detailed design.Deploy Engineering tools associated to his/her work package as per strategy.Integrate EHS requirements based on project strategy and deploy HAZID (Hazard identification) sessions at different project phases.Implement KPIs defined on engineering process and provide support to elaborate project reporting.Organize input data acquisition for Operation and Maintenance Manuals and as-built documents.Comply with Quality Procedures, work instructions and Processes.Provide data and inputs for project Return of Experience meetings.Implement design freeze and EHS in design. Required Qualifications:Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Electrical & Electronics Engineering6+ years of Engineering activities as lead HV Substation Design EngineerEnsure compliance with relevant international standards such as IEC, IEEE, ANSI, NEMA, and CIGRE guidelinesKnowledge of Algerian Regulations, Standards, and Technical RequirementsFamiliarity with the Algerian Electricity and Gas Law - notably Law 02-01 of February 5, 2002.Understanding of CREG (Commission de Régulation de l'Électricité et du Gaz) rules and procedures.Awareness of national grid codes, particularly for high-voltage installations.Proven experience with technical requirements and specifications, especially for HV GIS substationsKnowledge of CCT (Cahier des Charges Techniques) documentsExperience with factory and site acceptance tests (FAT/SAT) as per protocolsHands-on experience in HV GIS/AIS substations (132kV, 220kV, 400kV and above)Successful experience in project technical management in a multi-disciplinary team's context including multiple interfaces and with products coming from several countries.Knowledge of project execution risks and financial processes.Willingness to work in different locations for short or medium period and to travel worldwideExperience of team building as lead engineerStrong communication and persuasion skillsFluency in English to communicate with international partners as well as the local clients in native languageDesired Qualifications:General knowledge of Power System Equipment factories and products through FATs and site visits.Fluency in French is a plusFluency in Arabic is a plusDemonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.Experience of team building as lead engineer.Skilled at influencing and relationship building.Demonstrated presentation skills and ability to succinctly communicate complex messages.Project management skills.Demonstrates ownership & accountability, judgment and decision making, influences & inspires team, creates a vision and strategy, and has passion forAdditional InformationRelocation Assistance Provided: No#LI-Remote - This is a remote position
