We are seeking an energetic and results-driven Territory Development Manager to join our dynamic team. They will be responsible for driving growth in a defined geographic area, partnering with the Independent Agency Market to increase insurance policy production. The successful candidate will leverage proven consultative sales techniques in a Business-to-Business environment, employing a mix of e-mail, phone calls, virtual meetings, and in-person visits to implement a comprehensive contact strategy plan. What does a Territory Development Manager do at GAINSCO? • Achieve defined daily, weekly, and monthly production goals. • Make a targeted number of contacts each day through various channels, including e-mail, phone calls, virtual meetings, and in-person visits. • Review and provide coaching on agency performance, ensuring continuous improvement and responsiveness to feedback. • Effectively manage agency contests and quarterly bonus programs. • Set and communicate goals for each agent, developing strategies and tactics to support goal achievement. • Conduct effective commission conversations with agency owners to maintain or earn higher commission levels. • Review commission statements and manage agency footprint targets. • Based on market-specific information, identify and execute sales strategies. • Review available reports and adjust actions to achieve goals. • Identify and appoint agents in desired areas. • Manage low-hanging fruit, incline/decline reports, and zero producers to change behavior. • Ensure compliance with best practices, sales, contact requirements and documentation of activities within Sales Force. What is required? Education: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Experience: • 2 or more years of successful sales experience. • Experience with insurance sales is a plus. • Ability to positively influence agents to increase territory production. • Salesforce experience is a plus Other skills and abilities: • Ability to learn and promote products and services. • Rapport-building skills with agents. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Effective sales, negotiation, and presentation skills. • Analytical skills to interpret product data and identify market trends. • Disciplined follow-up and organizational skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Ability to effectively manage your own time and coordinate various tasks simultaneously. • Works independently, possesses a high energy level, and pays attention to detail. As a Bodily Injury Field Adjuster, you’ll conduct in-person investigations and evaluate non-attorney represented injury claims within your assigned territory. You’ll apply your technical knowledge and interpersonal skills to ensure fair, timely, and compliant claim resolutions. What does a BODILY INJURY FIELD ADJUSTER do? • Travel within your territory to conduct on-site investigations of auto claims involving property damage, liability, and bodily injury. • Interview claimants face-to-face, take recorded statements, and gather supporting documentation such as police reports and repair estimates. • May inspect and document vehicle damage and coordinate with Field Appraisers. • Evaluate coverage and liability, write reservation of rights letters, and negotiate bodily injury settlements. • Make accurate payments or draft denial letters based on findings. • Schedule and conduct appointments with customers in a timely and professional manner. • Ensure all claims are handled in accordance with company policies and state/federal regulations. • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation throughout the claim lifecycle. What is required? Education: • High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Licenses/ Certifications: • To perform the essential functions of this job an active Texas or Florida Adjuster License will be required to comply with state and GAINSCO requirements. • Upon hire, additional license(s) may be required. If that is the case, license(s) must be obtained. • All licenses must be maintained in accordance with state requirements. • Professional Insurance and/or Claims Designations are a plus. Experience: • Two or more years of experience in Auto Insurance as a Claims Adjuster. • Two or more years of experience interpreting policy language and state statute is required. • One or more years of experience handling bodily injury claims is required. • Prior experience handling minor to moderately complexity of claims is required. • Strong track record of making sound coverage and liability decisions based on facts and investigations. • Field experience and auto damage appraisal experience preferred. • Knowledge of ImageRight and Claims Manager preferred. Other skills and abilities: • Willingness to travel 95% within territory; occasional overnight travel (5%). • Ability to manage time while prioritizing multiple tasks. • Have an aptitude for providing information in a clear, concise manner with an appropriate level of detail, empathy, and professionalism. • Demonstrates a high commitment to quality. • Possess strong negotiation and analytical skills. • Ability to gather and analyze information to evaluate results and choose the best solution to the problem. • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
