Manage and grow targeted market segments, develop new business opportunities, and maintain key accounts in the specialty food industry. | Minimum 5-7 years of experience in selling specialty food products, with strong skills in business development, sales, and account management, plus a bachelor's degree in a related field. | Fusion Gourmet is a specialty food company based in Rancho Dominguez, CA, dedicated to crafting and distributing premium snack products—including cookies, candies, wafers, and crackers. Our products are sold nationwide through a wide range of retail channels as well as through specialty food distributors. With over 25 years of profitable growth, we continue to expand and are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team for a full-time position. Role Description • Responsible for the development, management and growth of targeted market segments including natural and specialty retailers, conventional supermarkets, specialty distributors as well as alternative trades • Manage and grow existing accounts through responsible and proactive account management • Work with brokers to develop and manage opportunities on an account or segment specific basis • Assist with planning and participating in specialty food tradeshows (3 to 5 per year) • Work with logistics and order processing teams to ensure highest level of customer service • Handle all aspects of vendor and item setup for new and existing accounts • Assist with planning and managing promotional activities for key accounts • Conduct key account presentations for new and existing business Qualifications • Minimum of 5 to 7 years experience selling specialty food products • Strong understanding of the specialty food segment as well as experience in selling to major retailers and distributors • Strong skills in Business Development, Sales Strategies, and Account Management • Excellent Communication and Negotiation skills with the ability to build meaningful client relationships • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to address client needs effectively • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.) • Must be resourceful, highly dependable, efficient and detailed oriented. • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
