Make critical architectural decisions, write production code, design AI-powered features, mentor engineers, and manage cross-team dependencies. | Strong CS foundation, proven complex system building, proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, GCP, and daily AI tool usage. | About Foundation Health Foundation Health is transforming healthcare through an AI-powered digital pharmacy platform that seamlessly connects operational infrastructure with high quality patient experiences. Our mission is to transform patient centric care by connecting fragmented infrastructure, optimizing care coordination, and removing friction from the patient journey. We refuse to adhere to the status quo; instead, we actively pioneer solutions that will shape the healthcare practices of tomorrow. This ambitious vision is only achievable with the dedication of the right team propelling us forward. We firmly believe that a supportive and inspiring work environment fuels creativity, transforming it into groundbreaking innovation. It is this very innovation that not only benefits our organization but also positively impacts our people, partners, and most importantly, our patients. At Foundation Health, we foster a culture that encourages our team members to broaden their horizons, urging them to bring their passion and curiosity to the workplace each day. We understand that diverse perspectives fuel progress, and we actively seek individuals who share our commitment to excellence and forward-thinking. Fixing Healthcare, One System at a Time Healthcare runs on workflows built in the 90s. We're changing that — specifically in pharmacy, where we're building AI-powered infrastructure that plugs directly into Electronic Health Record platforms, helping health systems actually function at scale. Not a chatbot. Not a wrapper. Real, deep infrastructure that changes how care gets delivered. We're a Series A company already in production with enterprise customers already - so, the PMF question is answered. Now we're building the team that scales it. The Role We're building out our engineering hub in Orlando, and we want a Staff Engineer who's genuinely excited about owning something — not just contributing to it. You'll be a technical anchor for one of our core products, making architectural calls that matter six months from now, not just this sprint. This is a hands-on role. You'll write code, not just review it. What you'll be doing You'll set the technical bar — through your own code as much as your decisions. You'll design systems that span multiple components, produce design docs the broader team actually uses, and spot the debt hotspots before they become fires. On the AI side: we're native by design. Cursor, Claude, the lot. You'll design agentic workflows (automated reviews, LLM-assisted QA) and contribute directly to AI-powered features — RAG, function calling, evaluation frameworks. You'll also help pick the tooling and set the patterns others follow. Beyond the code, you'll own delivery across workstreams, manage cross-team dependencies, and translate between what engineering can do and what the business needs. You'll grow the people around you through coaching and hiring, not through process overhead. What we're looking for A track record of building complex systems from scratch — and being able to talk about the specific decisions you made and why High agency. You don't wait for a perfectly scoped ticket. You figure out what needs to happen and do it. Comfortable in ambiguity. We're a Series A — things move fast and change often Already using AI tools daily, and interested in pushing that further Strong educational foundation in CS or a related field The stack: Node/TypeScript/GCP. No legacy code. Greenfield all the way. Why now, why us You'd be joining as one of the founding engineers in a new hub. That means real influence — on the product, the architecture, and the culture we build here. Meaningful equity, a seat at the table, and work that actually touches people's lives through the healthcare system.

Design and build AI-powered infrastructure features with ownership from design to shipment ensuring reliability and correctness. | Solid experience shipping production systems, strong computer science fundamentals, and high agency in a startup environment. | About Foundation Health Foundation Health is transforming healthcare through an AI-powered digital pharmacy platform that seamlessly connects operational infrastructure with high quality patient experiences. Fixing Healthcare, One System at a Time Healthcare runs on workflows built in the 90s. We're changing that — specifically in pharmacy, where we're building AI-powered infrastructure that plugs directly into EHR platforms, helping health systems actually function at scale. Not a chatbot. Not a wrapper. Real, deep infrastructure that changes how care gets delivered. We're a Series A company already in production with enterprise customers already - so, the PMF question is answered. Now we're building the team that scales it. The Role Senior Engineer at Foundation Health means hands-on, high-ownership work. You'll contribute to system design, take on complex features end-to-end, and care about the quality of what ships — not just whether your ticket is closed. You'll work closely with Staff engineers and directly shape how we build. This isn't a "execute the spec" role. What you'll be doing Writing clean, well-considered code on a modern Node/TypeScript/GCP stack — no legacy baggage. Picking up hard problems, producing solid design docs, and reviewing your peers' work in a way that actually helps them improve. We're not precious about your current stack. A strong engineer can pick up a new language almost immediately — we care far more about how you think and what you've built. You'll use AI tools as a natural part of how you work — Cursor, Claude — and contribute to features that incorporate AI directly. We're native by design, not bolting it on. You'll flag issues early, push back when something doesn't make sense, and take real ownership over the surface area you work on — correctness, reliability, the lot. What we're looking for Solid experience building production systems — you can point to things you've shipped and talk through the decisions High agency — you don't need perfect information to move forward Comfortable with some ambiguity; Series A pace is real Already using AI tools in your day-to-day Strong CS fundamentals Why now, why us You'd be joining as one of the founding engineers in a new hub. That means real influence — on the product, the architecture, and the culture we build here. Own features end-to-end and build AI-powered infrastructure for a digital pharmacy platform. | Several years of professional production software experience, strong CS educational background, and proficiency with modern stacks and AI tools. | About Foundation Health Foundation Health is transforming healthcare through an AI-powered digital pharmacy platform that seamlessly connects operational infrastructure with high quality patient experiences. The Role This is a mid-level role for someone who's past the hand-holding stage but still has plenty of runway to grow. You'll own features end-to-end, work on a modern stack (Node/TypeScript/GCP), and be surrounded by senior engineers worth learning from. You don't need to have worked in our exact stack. If you're a strong engineer who loves building things and picks up new tools quickly, that matters more to us than ticking a language checkbox. We're AI-native — Cursor, Claude — and we expect you to use these tools as a natural part of how you work, not as a novelty. What we're looking for A couple of years of professional experience building and shipping software in a production environment Solid fundamentals — you understand what you're building and why it works Someone who asks good questions, takes feedback well, and gets things done without needing constant direction Already experimenting with AI tools in your workflow Strong educational background in CS or similar Why now, why us You'd be joining as one of the founding engineers in a new hub. Engineering Manager

Foundation HealthAnywhereFull-time
View Job
Compensation$90K - 150K a year

Manage two engineering teams, oversee delivery lifecycles, clear obstacles, provide strategic leadership, and drive AI tool integration. | Strong hands-on software engineering background, team management experience in start-up or scale-up environments, AI fluency, and ability to lead technical teams. The Mission: Scaling the Future of Healthcare Healthcare is plagued by fragmented infrastructure and antiquated workflows. At Foundation Health, we aren't just building another app; we are building an AI-powered digital pharmacy platform that serves as deep, integrated infrastructure for health systems. To achieve this, we need more than just great code - we need world-class engineering leadership. We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join our Orlando hub and work shoulder-to-shoulder with our VP of Engineering (ex-DeepMind/Google) to build a high-velocity, AI-native engineering organization. The Role: Your Mandate You won't just be "managing" a team; you will be the engine that drives delivery for two distinct software engineering teams. Your focus is split between the growth of our people and the velocity of our platform. As an Engineering Manager, you will: Architect Teams, Not Just Code: Take ownership of personnel management and the delivery lifecycle for 2 SWE teams. Clear the Path: Act as the primary shield and facilitator for your teams, ensuring they have the tasks, resources, and clarity needed to ship without friction or blockages. Strategic Leadership: Sit on the technical leadership team to influence the product roadmap and technical direction of the company. Operationalize AI: Lead the charge on our "AI-native" culture. You aren't just allowing AI tools; you are actively finding ways to integrate Claude, CoPilot, and other LLMs into the team's daily workflow to maximize output. The AI-Native Advantage We don’t just build AI; we live it. While other companies are still debating AI usage policies, we expect our Engineering Managers to champion them. You will be tasked with automating the mundane parts of the engineering lifecycle so your teams can focus on solving the complex, high-impact problems that actually move the needle for patients. Location & Community This role is based in our Orlando hub. You will work closely with our VP of Engineering, who is also based in Orlando. While we value the flexibility of a distributed team, we believe the biggest breakthroughs happen when leaders get together to whiteboard and "jam" in person. Why this is your next move: Direct Mentorship: Work daily with world-class technical leadership from DeepMind and Google. True Agency: This is a high-ownership role in a start-up environment. You aren't managing a small cog in a big machine; you are building the machine. No Legacy Drag: You are leading teams working on a modern Node/TS/GCP stack with zero decades-old technical debt to slow you down. Meaningful Stake: Joining at this stage means significant equity and a front-row seat to the transformation of an entire industry. What we’re looking for: Hands-on Roots: You come from a strong, hands-on SWE background. You can still "speak the language" and dive deep into technical hurdles when the team needs you. Scale-up Experience: You’ve managed teams through the ambiguity of a start-up or scale-up phase. The "Builder" Gene: You are a problem solver who doesn't wait for a perfect ticket. You see a bottleneck, you fix it, and you move the team forward. AI Fluency: You already use AI tools to boost your own productivity and are excited to scale those efficiencies across multiple teams. Ready to lead the charge? Let’s build.
