A Route Sales Representative (RSR) is responsible for ordering, sales, and delivery of fresh baked products. The successful candidate must come to work with a neat, professional appearance (sometimes in a uniform) and be able to build and maintain strong relationships with customers. Drivers will check their delivery vehicle daily, keeping accurate records, quickly reporting maintenance issues, and filling out daily driver’s logs, time logs, and hours of service. This position will require flexibility to work varying workdays and early morning start times. Generally, start times are around 3:00am and days off are on Wednesday and Sunday. An RSR is also expected to increase sales by expanding shelf space, creatively displaying in-store promotions and displays, and making sure product shelf life is maximized by properly rotating the products. An effective RSR will use data and marketing plans to build relationships and drive customer growth through effective communication, planning, ordering, and execution. They will work together with the customers to increase sales and drive customer satisfaction. Adaptability and flexibility will be a must since RSRs will need to service their accounts during the customer’s designated service windows and may need to work non-traditional business hours to complete deliveries. An eagerness to gain knowledge and skills about the industry along with the ability to work independently and as a team will be the key to success for an RSR working in a DSD (Direct Store Delivery) environment. Prior experience as a delivery driver will be beneficial for adapting to the demands of this role.Knead to Know: Preferred Qualifications Sales experience. Delivery driver experience. Must adhere to federal, state, and local rules regarding the operation of a CMV. Must execute the best practices of RSR training (after 4-week company paid training). Bringing Home the Dough The primary goal of the Revenue Analyst II is to support sales, margin, trade spend, promotion and/or competitive intelligence reporting of the company by efficiently building and maintaining reports in Business Objects (Sales Data Warehouse), IRI, AC Nielsen or other systems as directed. Revenue Analyst II can be alternately can be assigned to Sales Planning where they support the sales planning system and processes, including process improvement recommendations. Position provides database, report, master data and application validation for applications that they are assigned and support. Position utilizes test plans without supervision. Position provides analysis for the management team when requested as well as proactively providing analysis when a problem or opportunity has been identified. Objective analysis, solid spreadsheet technical knowledge, written presentation preparation, and clear communication skills are required. This position is building fundamental knowledge of how brands, product assortment, distribution, merchandising, pricing and promotions impact the retailer’s category and each manufacturer’s performance. This position can interact directly with Flowers’ customers and is located at a Flowers’ location. Requires constant interaction with work group and other departments at the primary work location.
