We're looking for a motivated and driven Junior Business Development Manager who will be responsible for managing and strengthening relationships with our bus operator partners, ensuring long-term success, and identifying opportunities for optimization and expansion. About the Role Identify and secure new partnerships with intercity bus operators and other relevant stakeholders to expand Flix's presence in the US West region Manage and nurture relationships with existing partners, ensuring mutual growth and profitability Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes, informing strategic decisions Work closely with internal teams, including Network Planning, Operations, Finance, and Marketing, to ensure cohesive strategy execution Develop processes and coordinate a variety of projects, making sure the interactions between departments are fluid and results are delivered in a timely manner Analyze and optimize partner performance using data-driven insights, collaborating with internal teams to adjust network strategy and maximize profitability Serve as a Flix ambassador at industry events, conferences, and meetings, enhancing brand visibility and credibility About You Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Communications or a related field Ideally 2+ years of experience in an externally facing role (business development, sales, account management, or strategic roles, preferably within the transportation, technology, or consulting sectors) Full of ambition, not afraid of rapid change, and able to deal with ambiguity Strong analytical abilities, strong negotiation skills, excellent communication skills, proficiency in data-driven decision-making and capable of building strong relationships with various types of companies and stakeholders Entrepreneurial mindset, self-motivated, and capable of working autonomously to achieve ambitious targets Willingness to travel, about 20% of time Ability to work out of our LA office (Culver City) 2 days per week Spanish fluency a plus Salary Range: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 USD We recognize that everyone carries a unique set of valuable skills and experiences. As a Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships (m/f/d), you will lead market expansion by securing access to critical infrastructure, managing relationships with key stakeholders, and driving operational success in a highly regulated environment. You will develop strategic partnerships with public and private entities, navigate complex government processes, and ensure compliance while establishing access to high-value transportation hubs across the country.   About the Role • Secure high-impact locations for bus stops and stations by leveraging government relationships and private-sector negotiation skills • Build and maintain strategic relationships with government agencies, municipal councils, and regulatory bodies to support business growth • Align commercial objectives with government policies by identifying opportunities and mitigating regulatory risks • Represent the company in discussions with transportation authorities and prepare materials for hearings and public consultations • Lead site acquisition and development efforts, ensuring compliance with zoning, permitting, and safety standards across jurisdictions • Develop partnerships with businesses, transit agencies, and property owners to enhance station access and amenities • Serve as the primary contact for station-related and government relations matters, advocating for the company in infrastructure planning forums About You • 5–7 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or real estate development, including work with government entities • Demonstrated success in securing agreements with government agencies or private stakeholders to support business growth • 1–2 years of project management experience with strong knowledge of transportation regulations and public transit systems • Skilled in negotiation, stakeholder management, and analyzing policies to identify risks and opportunities • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience presenting to senior officials and business leaders • Familiarity with real estate transactions, land-use planning, commercial leasing, and infrastructure development; willing to travel as needed We recognize that everyone carries a unique set of valuable skills and experiences.
