This role puts you at the center of that transformation. You'll be the first hire into a newly created Customer Success role to help prove out the revolutionary business model while being the product team’s go-to stakeholder for product refinement and improvement. If successful, this role becomes the blueprint for scaling across our portfolio. Fair warning: This isn't a traditional customer success role. You'll be stepping into a Customer Success position, but performing that function with a focus on informing the product we’ve built for the Customer Success function. You’ll basically be a hybrid of a product specialist acting as a CSM in order to better understand what they need from the product. If you need structure and predictability, this isn't for you. If you want to prove you can operate at the intersection of AI, product management, and business operations, this is your shot. What You'll Actually Do AI Partnership & Operational Excellence (40%) Partner with our proprietary AI agent system to manage account portfolios at unprecedented scale (10x industry standard) Monitor AI performance and intervene in cases requiring human judgment Optimize workflows between AI systems and human touchpoints for maximum efficiency Build processes that don't exist yet; creating the playbook as you go Strategic Account Growth (40%) Own a multi-million dollar account portfolio Focus on proactive relationship building and expansion opportunities Travel to meet with clients in-person (50%+ travel) Determine what AI functionality is required for a CSM to balance operational support for accounts with strategic account management and growth efforts Use data to identify growth opportunities within existing accounts Product & Process Development (30%) Provide feedback loop to improve AI system performance Document successful approaches for replication across the business Help design the customer experience for an AI-first service model Contribute to product roadmap based on real customer needs and AI capabilities About the Portfolio Company This role is with one of Fieldcrest's portfolio companies: a market leader in business process outsourcing that's undergoing a complete AI transformation. Manage client relationships and coordinate proposal development to deliver high-quality RFP responses on a flexible, project basis. | 2-5 years proposal writing/management experience, client-facing skills, proficiency with design and project management tools, and ability to manage multiple projects remotely. | One of our portfolio companies is seeking experienced Proposal Managers to join our AI-enabled proposal writing service as part-time contractors. As a Proposal Manager, you'll be the primary point of contact for our SMB clients, responsible for ensuring successful delivery of high-quality, winning proposals. This contract role combines client relationship management, project coordination, proposal editing/formatting, and quality control to deliver exceptional RFP responses for our clients. This is a flexible, project-based contract position where you're compensated per proposal completed at $50-$100 / Hour. Key Responsibilities Client Management Lead client onboarding and kickoff meetings for new customers Establish and maintain strong relationships with assigned clients Communicate proactively with clients through all proposal phases Respond to client inquiries within 24 hours per our SLA Identify and pursue opportunities for client renewals and upsells Proposal Management Source relevant RFP opportunities for clients using our automated tools Manage multiple proposals simultaneously from intake to submission Oversee proposal development process including content creation and revision Ensure all proposal submissions meet RFP requirements and deadlines Coordinate with our AI systems to produce and refine proposal drafts Perform final quality review of all deliverables Production & Documentation Handle document preparation, formatting, and packaging Create professional design elements and visual enhancements Ensure branding and style guide compliance Prepare submission packages according to client and RFP requirements Maintain detailed records in our project management system Required Qualifications 2-5 years experience as a Proposal Writer and/or Manager Experience with RFP, proposal writing, or government contracting 2+ years in customer success, account management, or related client-facing role Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and quality control Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines Proficient with Google Workspace and design tools like Figma or Canva Experience with project management tools Available to work on a flexible, project basis Preferred Qualifications APMP Certification Background in customer success for B2B SaaS or services Experience working with AI tools or content automation Graphic design skills or experience with design software Knowledge of procurement processes Previous experience as an independent contractor or freelancer Working Environment 100% remote contract position with flexible hours Work on a project-by-project basis with control over your workload Fast-paced environment requiring excellent time management Collaborative team focused on client success and continuous improvement Access to cutting-edge AI tools and automation technology Compensation $50-$100 per hour based on experience and complexity of proposals Paid on a per-project basis upon completion Opportunity to take on additional projects based on performance Potential for long-term contract renewal for high performers Contract Details Part-time, independent contractor position Flexible scheduling - choose projects that fit your availability 1099 contractor status Equipment: Must have own computer and reliable internet connection
