Supporting and troubleshooting cloud, networking, and infrastructure systems, documenting processes, and contributing to automation efforts. | Basic understanding of networking, familiarity with cloud platforms, and scripting experience. | Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering Intern General Summary: Member of the Technical Services team supporting the Bank’s cloud, networking, and infrastructure systems. Assists with deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting servers, network devices, and cloud resources while following industry best practices and Bank procedures. Helps ensure secure, reliable operations for staff and members through day‑to‑day technical support, incident response, and accurate documentation. Candidate will gain hands-on experience while partnering closely with a dedicated mentor and senior engineers working with enterprise cloud platforms, networking, server (physical and virtual) management and automation scripting. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with supporting cloud, networking, and infrastructure systems such as virtual machine management within Azure, Big IP and Palo Alto firewall configuration assistance, user management within Active Directory and Entra ID, and monthly patching of servers and workstations while following security best practices Participate in troubleshooting incidents with guidance from senior engineers Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps Participate in team meetings, work planning, and technical discussions Contribute to automation efforts by writing or updating scripts Support and opportunity to earn professional certification (ex. Microsoft Azure Fundamentals AZ-900) including dedicated study and preparation time Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Working knowledge of core networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, etc.) Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure knowledge is preferred.) Sufficient analytical skills and attention to detail to provide quick and effective responses to situations as required. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with FHLBank personnel. Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python.) Working Conditions: Hybrid in-office/remote environment with additional flexibility as appropriate.
