As a Data Platform Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and efficient data platforms to support the organization's data-driven initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, design data architectures, and implement solutions that enable efficient data processing, storage, and analysis. The role requires a deep understanding of various data technologies, cloud platforms, and data engineering best practices. Design and develop scalable, high-performance data architectures that meet the organization's requirements for data processing, storage, and analysis. Lead the implementation of data platforms using a combination of cloud-based and on-premises technologies, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security. Design and implement data integration solutions to facilitate the seamless flow of data between different systems and platforms, ensuring data consistency and accuracy. Identify performance bottlenecks in data processing pipelines and optimize platform components for improved efficiency and resource utilization. Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide technical guidance and support. Create documentation, best practices, and guidelines for data platform architecture and train team members on platform usage and maintenance. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent* in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or 7 years of equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment. The employer will alternatively accept a Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field, plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or 5 years of equivalent work experience in information technology or engineering environment in lieu of a Bachelor's degree plus 7 years of experience. The position requires experience with: Advanced Data Engineering; Advanced Database Design/Development; Advanced Data Modeling; Advanced SQL; Azure Cloud Platform Design/Development; Advanced Unix/Linux/Shell Scripting; Advanced CI/CD and DevOps.
