In this role, you will lead the design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable digital solutions that support mission-critical public services. Working closely with product managers, designers, engineers, architects, and government stakeholders, you will help shape technical strategy, guide engineering teams, and deliver high-quality software that improves how the government serves the public. This role is fully remote. The Sr. Consultant role will work on projects that allow them to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable solutions while mentoring engineers, fostering collaboration, and aligning stakeholders with product and project goals. The engineer will collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and fellow engineers to deliver secure, accessible, scalable, and maintainable user experiences. Your Responsibilities in this Role: • Contribute to the development lifecycle from implementation through deployment and maintenance. • Build and maintain responsive, accessible, and user-friendly front-end applications that meet modernization requirements. • Collaborate with back-end engineers to integrate APIs, workflows, and AI-enabled platform functionality into the user experience. • Support implementation of new features, enhancements, and UI improvements aligned with the modernization roadmap. • Address defects, usability issues, and performance concerns within front-end applications. • Translate designs, wireframes, and product requirements into reusable UI components and application features. • Write maintainable, testable, and well-documented code following established engineering standards and best practices. • Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback from senior engineers and peers. • Support front-end testing efforts, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing. • Contribute to DevSecOps and CI/CD practices related to front-end development and deployment. • Troubleshoot application issues across browser, client-side, and integration layers as needed. • Ensure solutions comply with accessibility and federal security requirements (e.g., Section 508, NIST SP 800-53, FedRAMP).
