The Strategic Finance Manager is responsible for driving financial planning, forecasting, strategic analysis, and business insights that support enterprise decision-making. This role partners closely with executive leadership, operations, business unit leaders, and finance stakeholders to deliver actionable financial intelligence, improve forecasting accuracy, support equity and capital allocation strategies, and advance the organization's financial technology capabilities. The Strategic Finance Manager serves as a key contributor in developing long-range financial plans, revenue forecasts, performance reporting, and strategic initiatives while helping to build scalable financial processes and analytical tools that support profitable growth. Ideal candidate will have advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities as well as a strong understanding of income statements, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI development. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. MBA, CPA, CMA, or CFA designation preferred. Experience: 5–8+ years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, strategic finance, or related experience. Experience supporting executive leadership teams. Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and performance management experience. Experience implementing or enhancing financial planning and reporting systems. Experience with Power BI, financial reporting platforms, and ERP systems. Data analytics, visualization, and automation experience preferred. Experience supporting employee ownership, ESOP, equity planning, or succession planning initiatives preferred. Experience within construction, engineering, specialty contracting, professional services, or project-based organizations preferred. Experience leading finance technology transformations and automation initiatives preferred. Travel: 5-10% Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Equity Planning & Strategy Supports development and execution of enterprise equity planning strategies. Analyzes ownership, dilution, valuation, and succession-related scenarios. Prepares financial models and presentations supporting Board and executive-level discussions. Assists with long-term capital allocation planning and strategic investment evaluations. Develops scenario analyses to assess financial impacts of various equity and ownership structures. Partners with executives, legal, tax, and external advisors on equity-related initiatives. Revenue Forecasting & Planning Owns and continuously improves revenue forecasting methodologies. Coordinates monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting processes across business units. Analyzes revenue trends, project pipelines, backlog conversion, labor utilization, and market conditions. Identifies forecast risks and opportunities and recommends mitigation strategies. Develops predictive models and reporting tools that enhance forecast accuracy. Communicates forecast assumptions and financial implications to leadership. Income Statement Management & Financial Performance Leads monthly and quarterly income statement analysis. Monitors and explains variances between actual, budget, forecast, and prior-year performance. Identifies key drivers affecting profitability, margins, SG&A, EBITDA, and operating income. Develops executive-level reporting and dashboards that improve visibility into business performance. Supports annual budgeting and long-range planning processes. Recommends strategies to improve financial performance and operational efficiency. KPI Development & Reporting Establishes and maintains enterprise financial and operational KPIs. Develops dashboards and scorecards for executive leadership and business partners. Analyzes trends, identifies root causes of performance gaps, and recommends corrective actions. Ensures consistent KPI definitions and reporting methodologies across the organization. Provides insights that support strategic and operational decision-making. Strategic & Ad Hoc Analysis Conducts financial modeling and business case development for strategic initiatives. Supports M&A evaluations, market expansion opportunities, capital investments, and business transformation efforts. Performs sensitivity analyses and scenario planning for key business decisions. Partners with executives to evaluate emerging business opportunities and risks. Prepares clear and concise financial recommendations for senior leadership. Technology Deployment & Process Improvement Leads implementation and optimization of FP&A technologies, reporting tools, and automation solutions. Partners with IT, data, and business stakeholders to improve data quality and accessibility. Drives adoption of business intelligence, reporting, and analytics platforms. Develops scalable forecasting, planning, and reporting processes. Leverages automation and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and decision support capabilities. Champions continuous improvement across FP&A processes and systems. Leadership & Collaboration Serves as a trusted business partner to executive leadership and functional leaders. Mentors analysts and supports development of finance team capabilities. Builds strong cross-functional relationships across operations, HR, accounting, project controls, and business leadership. Influences decision-making through fact-based financial insights. Fosters a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Performs other related duties as required and assigned. The EPC Senior Project Manager is a leadership role responsible for the end-to-end management and successful delivery of complex energy Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects, with a strong emphasis on early-stage project development. This includes involvement from initial concept and feasibility, through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover. This position is accountable for project scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, and managing a multidisciplinary team, as well as fostering strong client relationships and driving business growth through strategic project development activities. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership and technical skills, proficiency in project management methodologies, and a deep understanding of the construction trade, particularly in the context of Energy EPC contracts. Experience in evaluating, analyzing, and supporting design and engineering oversight, even during the development phase, is crucial. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, along with experience using Accubid, ACC, and Primavera, is preferred. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent technical training and experience. A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in managing large-scale specialty construction projects, including significant experience in an EPC Project Manager or similar leadership role. Demonstrated experience with the full project lifecycle, including substantial involvement in project development activities such as feasibility studies, conceptual design, site assessment, and proposal support. Travel: up to 100% Travel is dependent on the assigned project and business needs. Work Schedule: Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday; however, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Actively engage in the early phases of project development, including supporting feasibility studies, site diligence, conceptual design, and cost estimation to determine project viability and scope. Collaborate with business development and engineering teams to prepare proposals, cost estimates, and schedules for potential EPC projects. Provide expert advice on project strategy and risk identification during the pre-contract award phase. Lead the planning, organization, and staffing of electrical and/or specialty systems EPC projects, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, schedule, and budget requirements. Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, managing resource allocation and ensuring timely delivery of milestones and deliverables. Provide guidance and oversight to other Project Managers, ensuring consistent adherence to best practices and project objectives. Actively participate in the selection, development, and mentoring of managerial talent, assessing leadership capabilities and fostering professional growth within the project team. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, establishing and maintaining strong relationships. Ensure customer satisfaction by consistently meeting or exceeding expectations regarding project quality, timelines, and budgets. Present project updates and progress reports to senior leadership and clients. Negotiate contracts, manage change orders, and address potential contractual issues with a focus on risk mitigation. Oversee engineering and design phases, including reviews of drawings, specifications, and constructability analyses to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards. Ensure effective coordination between engineering, procurement, and construction teams to achieve seamless project execution. Manage the procurement of all necessary materials, equipment, and services for the project. Collaborate with the Purchasing Department and vendors to ensure effective material coordination and timely delivery. Develop and manage procurement plans, including requests for proposals (RFPs), evaluating bids, and overseeing vendor performance. Oversee all construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and project schedules. Conduct regular site visits, interacting with crews, customers, foremen, and subcontractors to monitor progress and enforce safe work practices. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and quality standards and regulations. Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow, ensuring effective cost control and profitability. Identify and mitigate project risks throughout the lifecycle, developing and implementing recovery plans as needed. Monitor project performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as required. Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, financial records, progress reports, and closeout analysis. Provide clear, concise, and timely written and oral reports to all stakeholders. Perform other related duties as required and assigned to ensure the successful execution of EPC projects. Engage in Contractor license requirements for the success of FTI and the EPC team. Obtain additional Company level licenses as needed for new areas of work.
