This individual will be a key member of the logistics department at Research Tool & Die Works. The individual will work with a team handling the receipt and delivery of all incoming shipments while ensuring the accuracy of outgoing shipments. A successful candidate should have the ability to work with minimal supervision, work well with a team to communicate progress and have the ability to accurately count, pack, and ship orders. Principle Duties and Responsibilities Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies. Collaborates and communicates with logistics supervisor, packing/shipping associates, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products. Tracks, traces and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments. Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready area. Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables. Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately. Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude. Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments. Scans and sorts incoming and outgoing stock Receives, stocks, and stacks products and materials Pulls, packs, and loads products as instructed Knowledge of using the Syspro ERP system ability to operate a forklift Familiarity with the RTND Parts Catalog Other duties assigned by supervisor Qualifications and Educational Requirements Good written and verbal communication skills Strong sense of time organization and urgency Able to work independently and within a team Ability to lift up to 30 pounds unaided Ability to bend, crouch, and lift items throughout the shift High school diploma, GED, or equivalent 6 months of logistics, retail, or customer service experience Forklift Certification is highly desirable This position includes access or potential access to export-controlled data. Therefore, you will need to qualify as a U.S. Person, which is defined as a U.S. Citizen, a U.S. Permanent Resident or a political asylee in compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Acceptable proof of this status includes a US Passport, Permanent Resident Card, US birth Certificate or Naturalization Certificate. Maintenance, including renewal, of licensing authorization is a condition of employment. Government authorization may be a suitable alternative after review on a case-by-case basis. This is a full-time 40 hour per week position; however, overtime will be scheduled as need. The standard shift is from 7:00AM-4:15PM Monday-Thursday and 7:00AM-12:00PM on Friday. This role is responsible for ensuring each program is strictly managing program budget, schedule, and scope and delivering results to our customers’ expectations. Responsible for efficient, consistent program management and contract administration including organizing, staffing, budgeting, and training the department. Supervises the department’s activities in support of external customers, internal functional departments, and cross-functional teams, as required. Principle Duties and Responsibilities 1. Responsible for overall direction of new programs; ensures that all program objectives are achieved, and customer commitments are met. 2. Coordinates with Sales group to understand and implement proposal plans/contract sell budgets, tasks, and schedules to establish accurate scope of contract work to meet contractual profit and schedule objectives. Ensures efficient transition from the proposal phase to the contract phase, effectively communicating the requirements and objectives to all functional departments. 3. Interacts with other departments to coordinates the establishment and implementation of program plans that include resource requirements, goals, and major measurements. “Negotiates” with all functional disciplines for accomplishment of necessary work within time, cost, and performance requirements. 4. Monitors programs and projects to assess effectiveness of Program Management and coordinates development of recovery plans in areas of deficient performance. 5. May serve as the Program Manager of one or more program/project teams. Assures that the multi-disciplined team collaborates effectively to develop detailed plans to achieve the stated objectives. 6. Provides assistance as needed to support Program Managers as the principal points of contact with their respective customers for other than routine/daily administrative requirements. Supports Program Managers as the customer advocate for all matters pertaining to the program. When higher-level attention is needed, participates in problem-solving/resolution efforts, assisting in coordinating efforts with other departments, organizations, or vendors. 7. Oversees program performance metrics in reviewing, tracking, and reporting of program/project budgets and schedules. Establishes program report requirements, reviews, and controls necessary to evaluate all phases of programs including cost, schedule, technical performance, manufacturing performance, budgets, and variances. Provides periodic reports to management to reflect the status of all programs. 8. Process Improvement and Standardization: Standardize PMO processes for budgeting, scheduling, scope management, and resource allocation to ensure consistent program delivery across all efforts. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of project tracking, financial reporting, and program management practices. 9. Ensures the establishment of effective and timely communications with the customer as well as functional organizations. 10. Ensures division compliance to contractual requirements and to company policies and procedures. 11. Assist Program Managers and Sales to quickly recognize, understand and implement changes in other programs and proposals from “lessons learned”. 12. Lead and mentor a team of program managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, financial accountability, and cross-team partnership. Provide coaching to develop team members' abilities to manage program budgets, schedules, scopes, and resource needs effectively. Administers performance management program including performance plans and assessments, personnel development plans, and recommends staff levels, promotions and salary increases. 13. Will be required to occasionally travel to customer or supplier locations. Qualifications and Educational Requirements 14. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, technical degree, or a minimum of 5 years of program management experience is required. 15. PMP certification required (or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire). 16. Leadership experience is required. 17. Industry-relevant experience or experience in a field service environment highly preferred. 18. Must possess demonstrated project management skills including an understanding of cost control and physical progress concepts, project organization, regulatory agency rules and processes. 19. Must possess a high degree of organization skills and have a high level of oral and written communications skills. 20. Must demonstrate ability to maintain a high level of customer relations skills. 21. Must be competent in the use of MS Office, Microsoft Projects, and Internet. Previous experience in use of Oracle or other ERP software is a plus. 22. Technical knowledge of Fairbanks Morse product lines is a plus. 23. Due to requirements of government contracts, must be U.S. Citizen. 24. 50%-60% travel required annually. This position requires access or potential access to Unclassified Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information, which is Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals (NOFORN) data.
