As the Senior Manager, Market Research, you will be responsible for leading a group of qualitative and quantitative market researchers who influence company strategy and marketing decision-making by deeply understanding Etsy’s buyer and seller audiences, our brand position relative to competitors, and the evolving macro landscape. What does the day-to-day look like? • Lead a team of 4+ market researchers, mentoring them on quantitative and qualitative research methods, stakeholder management, effective communication, and career development. • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders in Marketing, Product, and Strategy & Operations–as well as managers in other insights disciples (Analytics, UX Research, Quant Research)—to determine research needs and synthesize insights. • Apply innovative research techniques and explore new ways to deliver rich insights in a fast-paced environment, including responsible and effective integration of AI into research workflows. • Collaborate and communicate in a way that amplifies the voice of our customers, ensuring that the team’s insights are embedded and acted upon. • Partner with other research managers to grow and develop the Research team. • Recruit and hire outstanding researchers and facilitate their onboarding experience. • Of course, this is just a sample of the kinds of work this role will require!
