Overview The IS Technical Services Team Manager is responsible for the execution of Retro-Commissioning and Commissioning services, for assigned projects, as efficiently and effectively as possible per budget, schedule, and quality requirements. The expectation is to drive project outcomes for retro-commissioning and relevant new construction commissioning scopes with a solutions-based approach and mind set. Will collaborate with the entire project delivery team including engineering and execution project executives, construction management, engineers, and trade partners to fulfill the essential duties and responsibilities of the position. Responsible for leading and developing resources assigned to the IS Technical Services Team Manager. Responsibilities Perform assigned duties in accordance with Company safety guidelines, policies, and procedures. Provide mentorship and management for assigned team. Actively participate in the development of scope, technical approach, KPI's, staffing plan, and estimates for new projects. Establish and update the Technical Services Project Execution Plans to accomplish the intended project scope within the established budget and schedule. Develop and maintain monthly forecast of cost for the project. Develop and manage delivery schedules for assigned scopes. Integrate tasks with master project schedule. Regularly participate in project scheduling meetings to identify and resolve conflicts and shortfalls. Maintain a high level of familiarity with project scope adjustments for all automation and MEP disciplines. Inform the project engineering executive and construction manager of potential concerns, conflicts, schedule, or budgetary updates required to execute scope or achieve project outcomes. Manage the resources required to implement the Project Execution Plan and continuously track project KPIs to ensure that the project is delivered on time, and on budget. Coordinate with the Technical Services Director regularly to ensure staff utilization and skill sets are optimal for the project. Track energy performance for assigned scopes through the duration of the construction phase. Collaborate with the project team to ensure performance targets are met and maintained. Coordinate with project delivery team members and partners to ensure that project requirements for assigned scopes have been accurately documented and communicated to all parties. Work with the project team (design, construction, data delivery, MBCx) to coordinate project scopes. Ensure Design or Construction issues are properly identified, communicated, tracked, assigned to, and addressed by the appropriate delivery team members and partners Collaborate with Energy Management team to quantify the impact of and prioritize the response to, existing conditions, deficiencies, and issues identified while executing assigned scopes. Ensure that the action plans are prioritized accordingly, and clearly communicated to all members of the project delivery team. Assist with the resolution of issues, including proposing solutions to the project. Proactively address or escalate constraints to achieving project outcomes and scope completion with the director, project manager, engineering project executive, and energy manager. Ensure that all communications originating from team members to project delivery team members are properly directed, coordinated, documented, and followed up on. Review expense reports and time entries charged against the project for accuracy, adherence to established budgets, and compliance with Company policies and procedures Perform project closeout activities including reporting, project team review, turn-over meetings, and lessons learned meetings. Adhere to and exemplify IS Delivery and IS Technical Services process guidelines and SOPs. Uphold Company organizational core values. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field. 5+ years of commissioning or related experience with mechanical, electrical, building automation systems, programming, or building operation management experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong leadership skills. Attention to safety. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work with minimal or limited information Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Competency with Cloud Based commissioning software platforms. Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications Engineering Intern (EI) certification and/or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure. PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
