Program, commission, maintain, and support power generation control systems including PLCs and electrical components, provide customer and field support, and assist in project documentation and testing. | Bachelor's in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering with minimum 5 years commissioning experience in power generation or medium voltage systems, electrical troubleshooting skills, knowledge of NEC code, PLCs, and ability to travel. | Summary The Power Generation Controls Engineer is responsible for but not limited to programming Power Generation Systems, supporting applications and sales for new units, and providing commissioning and operational support services to customers for Enerflex supplied power generation packages and advanced maintenance functions, procedures, activities, and responsibilities associated with working on power generation systems. Principle Responsibilities and Duties • Review and/or generate SOW (Statement of Work) created for the project and, as necessary review Turn-in data created by Enerflex applications group including customer specification. • Assist with the Internal Kick Off Meeting and Customer Kick Off meeting. • Provide Squad Check for project P&IDs considering SOW and Turn-in data. • Support control designers in the development of wiring diagrams for control panel and/or junction boxes as per project proposal, customer specification and industry standards. • Review and/or approve project wiring diagrams for control panels and/or junction boxes working with control designer and project engineers to meet project documentation delivery commitments. • Release project bill of material (BOM) and to manufacturer and support fabrication questions/comments. • Support project engineers on change order costing and scope. • Develop & adjust ComAp, PAC/PLC/HMI, DIA.NE, relay & protective device programs as required. • Perform emergency service, preventative maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and offer operations instruction for industrial engine driven generators and associated controls systems. • Commission and service Enerflex designed and fabricated power generation systems; coordinate all related on-site commissioning activities. • Provide support and assistance for the installation of new and existing generator control system panels and associated equipment, including shop testing. • Provide telephone and onsite support to customers and field technicians as required. • Assist with testing new power generation package control systems and programming logic at the Houston manufacturing facility before shipment to customer site. • Program, test, and trouble shoot both generators set and synchronizing controls system. • Program and test transfer switches as required. • Set up load banks as required including the programs and parameters. • Test, measure, and verify electrical component operations, including energized components. • Ensure all technical information is correct and passed to the customer including drawings, manuals and shutdown keys. • Contribute in Enerflex proprietary tools and software development for automation solutions. • Network and develop relationships with customers to further the Enerflex brand reputation and promise. • Model and champion Enerflex core values in ways that center team culture on these values. • Abide by and promote the Enerflex HSE policy. Qualifications • Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical/Instrumentation discipline, minimum of 5 years’ experience in commissioning of Power Generation and/or Medium Voltage systems. • Working knowledge of various electrical components including MCCs, VFD’s, electrical switchgear and motors. • Knowledge in NEC code is required. • Travel may be required, up to 25%. • Willingness to spend one to four week(s) at a time in the field supporting customers if necessary. • Valid driver’s license with the ability and willingness to drive long distances. • Working knowledge of low voltage and medium voltage electrical systems. • Working knowledge of A/C and D/C systems and equipment. • Electrical trouble shooting skills. • Thorough understanding and ability to read and interpret electrical single line drawings, process and instrumentation diagrams and electrical and controls schematics. • Knowledge and experience with PLCs and HMIs. • Knowledge and experience with SEL and NGR relays. • Knowledge and experience with ComAP, Woodwards generator controllers considered an asset. • Experience with Jenbacher engine, generator DIA.NE control panels, Waukesha ESMs, CAT ADEM/EMCP, and Cummins PowerCommand considered an asset. • Good analytical, engineering problem solving skills. • Proficient with Microsoft Office application software. • Superior customer service skills and track record. • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and written. • Solid team player: work well with others to achieve shared success. • Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision. This role involves frequent travel to field installation sites to witness, inspect, and verify the receipt and reassembly of all material and equipment. The position plays a key role in quality assurance, continuous improvement, and cross-functional communication to ensure all components are delivered and installed to the highest standards in accordance with customer expectations. Manage sourcing and procurement activities for outsourced fabrication equipment, coordinate with suppliers and internal teams, and perform cost analysis and reporting to support project timelines and budgets. | 2-3 years of procurement experience with SAP-MM or similar ERP, knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication processes, strong communication and organizational skills, and a bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field. | Summary The Strategic Sourcing Specialist is responsible for the sourcing of products and services essential for our process equipment procurement team. You'll work closely with Purchasing Agents and Outsource fabrication supervisor and will work under the direct supervision of Procurement Manager – Gas Processing to help with procurement activities and vendor coordination for major equipment like pressure vessels, process towers, heat exchangers, air coolers, pump packages, and filtration products. In addition, the individual will be responsible for all phases of sourcing that require the skills necessary to identify cost saving opportunities, create competitive environments, creatively negotiate, generate contracts to assure seamless availability of all products to support the company objectives.
