Provide first level admission reviews remotely, collaborate with ER staff to determine patient care level, complete patient callbacks and documentation. | Current nursing license, minimum 2 years clinical experience preferred, case management experience preferred, ability to work independently with strong communication and critical thinking skills. | EMERGENCY STAFFING SOLUTIONS Job Description Job Title: LVN Remote Case Manager/Utilization Review Manager Department: CMI Summary: To provide first level admission reviews to clients who are contracted for services through Case Management Innovations. Please note, this position is a work at home position. Completing patient call backs. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Collaborating with physicians and nursing staff in the emergency room to determine patient’s appropriate level of care. Using clinical expertise, reviews clinical information and clinical criteria to determine patient’s level of care. Requests additional clinical information when needed to render a decision. Answering calls and making a decision timely. Completing all appropriate forms once a level of care decision has been made. Completing patient call backs to ensure discharge instructions were understood and they were satisfied with the care received. Education and Qualifications: Current and unrestricted license required. Minimum of 2 years experience in a clinical setting preferred. Case management experience preferred. Familiarization with industry standard guidelines (ie: Interqual/MCG) preferred. Excellent communication skills are required. Ability to multiple task, detail oriented, be responsive and demonstrate independent thought and critical thinking is required. Work on multiple systems; comfortable with computer technology required. Ability to work independently required. To perform this job successfully, the following are required: Excellent internet access. Excellent cell phone service. Complete orientation Complete a HIPAA course upon hire and annually.
